3v3 Season 4 Maplist

We'd like to hear the community's comments on the current maplist for the next season of 3v3. Below is a tentative map list that we've come up with, with a nice mix of old maps, and a couple of new customs.

Also we'd like to know whether you'd like a 6 week season, or an 8 week season. This post will be updated continuously as decisions are made.

Without further ado, the maps are:

Pre-Season 2: Adlernest

2: SOS Secret Weapon
3: SW GoldRush
4: Town Square
5: Frostbite
6: Adlernest
7: Dubrovnik
8: Ice

The map list looks good (except for SOS secret weapons). Plz replace this map w/ frostbite. Id also like to see reactor on there...perhaps making it in the season instead of Adlernest. Whats the point in playing this map 2 times??? We can just play this new map Adlernest in preseason. And my preference would be a 8week season. It might make for more teams not finishing the season...but i think it would a better experience overall if more maps would be played.

also prefer frostbite over SOS... really havent met someone who enjoyed that map when pubbing on it.. or ladder matches heh :/

I like Frostbite and Delivery over Radar and Ice

I always felt Delivery wasn't that great of a 3v3 map-- you had to split between 2 defense points, and with 3 people it just breaks down into a free for all. That, and you end up with the confusion over Delivery and Delivery 2.

Frostbite will be in the regular season, this was an oversight on my part. I have to decide where.

sos_secert_weapon is in my oppinion the most well balanced competition map out there. Thats one reason why no one likes it, cause they cant find an attvantage that every other map has. Secondly, no one takes the time to actually check out some of these maps, like sos, and das boot(mp sub) which are 2 great maps that went to waste. Battery, on the other hand is not fun 3v3, leverage on that map is like shooting fish in a bucket for axis, soo easy...

If you could put frostbite in instead of battery that would be great, but as far as sos, id leave it in, cause these people dont no what they are missing!

i actually had it one of fm's servers for awhile.. sos that is.. i enjoyed it until people always left... then just sort of lost interest in it... mp sub is a great map in my opinion.. fun to play on.. sos for sub and battery for frostbite heh... as far as adlernest goes.. we have it on ->m|stats box| right now... its alright i guess.. kinda expected more somehow from what i read on et-center forums...

Battery has been replaced with Frostbite.

yeah, glad frostbite was put in, and I think supply should be too, also maybe reactor or password....small maps good for 3 v 3

I'm still not a fan of Reactor and Supply in 3v3.

They could be used in playoffs still if there's an overwhelming cry for them-- I had planned to re-use season maps for playoffs so we've got potenitally 3-4 maps there. We've got a lot of time before that comes up.

Go to your team's page, and hit admin panel. Only the founder can sign up.

i'd much rather play railgun with the axis cp spawn, that would be perfect for 3v3. even et_village, that map is great for 3v3, that's better than adlernest by far.

This is the last release for a couple of months, then it will go final.

WPL just finished week 3 of our preseason, and we ran 7c. I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping some people who have played it in TWL and WPL to comment on the differences in play between the two versions.

I'd like to say thanks for all the hard work.

We will be using 7c for 3v3 and later on the season in 6v, it's still 2 weeks off so start getting updated. It should be updated in the files section soon.

Matches will also be going up within the next couple of days. Railgun with tower spawn, next Thursday.
