md5 tool kick

i was on a server the other day and i guy got kicked for md5 tool. I realize that not all md5 tool kicks are because the player is hacking, unless something obvious follows.. like etbot.dll...

i don't know if this is a hack or not but the first kick i've seen of this kind.

"MD5 tool Mismatch: etpro/cgame_mp_x86.dll (len=2048)"

i could've just posted a pic, but i don't want it to seem as if i'm trying to start a witch hunt.. especially if it's just nothing.

It could be a virus, it could be a different version of the DLL, it could be the hack. All that we KNOW from that is that they don't have a normal file.

It's not worthy of any action (permaban on your server, or suspension from TWL) since there's simply no way to bypass MD5Tool, it's not a big deal if it IS a hack, as they will always get kicked for having an invalid version of the file.

No i know what is the kind of kick.

Its the server, dont worry its not about the client files. Its all about the Server, my server do the same thing, they kick everybody with this reason. I dont know how to resolve it throught... ill put the etpro 3.2.1 instead the 3.2.0 maybe its will stop... who knows.

The whole server getting kicked, and 1 guy are two different problems. If you use 321 with a config with 320 MD5Sums its going to go apeshit.

How can one resolve this? It happened to me the other day, MD5 Tool mis-match kick for having a ETPro 3.2.1 pk3 file borked. It happens on the HFK server only.

Do I delete the 3.2.0 files or the 3.2.1. files, and then let the server re-d/l the latest files.

If you're running league configs with Global Clanwar, you MUST use 3.2.0. If you're running the new TWL config, you should be able to run 3.2.1. Delete the appropriate PK3 from the server.

Yeah I had md5tool probs for a while. mismatch in etpro3.2.0pk3 I just dl it from here and it was fine. Believe meit aint a hack. I not me, I suck too bad to

yea i got the same thing... only it showed,

Well sorry to revive it again. But I just installed BF2pro and joined a server. I got kicked for the vtuneapi.dll. Not sure what that is at all...or what I can do about it. I hope someone has an answer because I don't want people to start questioning my integrity. I lead a clan and have always kept a clean slate, I don't even play on pistol/knife servers and I've never even tried C4 jumping, and to be honest I just tried this BF2pro because the new BF2 league is starting up. So yeah, any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem im getting kicked for etpub/extreme.pk3 but I never dled hacks or anything can someone explain it to me?
