1 spec for match

I think it sux. Why allow only one spec? If you are 2nd bencher, you can't even see how your teammates are doing. I know most of teams allow more specs for their game, but there are some teams that want only one spec because it's what rule says.

I can see it could be somewhat chaotic if there are 4 or more specs each team, but I think allowing just 2 specs per each team sounds more fair and reasonable.
It's an open rule right? We've asked (and had other teams ask) for extra specs many times & never been told "No, it's The Rule to only have one." If the server supports enough slots for a few specs, why not?
believe me there are teams say no.
the 1 spec is ment for a sub incaseshithappens. The rule does not suck, and if you are playing against another team the says no, the are just rude. Unless, the server is only set for 14 people... that should be the only excuse. IMO.
Yeah, i think you should definately be allowed to have two specators. It keeps the benchers in line We've never had a problem with regards to requesting to have more than one spec.I think at one point we had 4 people spectating during one match , and the other team had 3 (20 slot server).

we had this come up in a campaign match tonight. We asked for more than one spec, they denied it. Said it would eat up too many system resources(lol, I was like wtf?). we eventually moved to their server, and I saw why they were worried, their box was probably a p2 system on dial up

omg, spent half the map lag spiking to 400

but word, rapage anyways

i think 2 specs r cool, the problem of the teams that doesnt allow that is that they r afraid spec call the plays, cause specs can see things that the player cant see, like if an enemy is oming to ur right and the player is watching the left, 4 eyes r better than 2 , so maybe thats why they dont want that, but i agree having 2 specs sometimes 2 people drop in a row cause that losing key packets so its good to have 2 substitutes
my point exactly. I want to hear what admin think of it but...
The rule for 1 spec is their to limit voice comm communications/subbing and to minimize the chance that a server will fill up preventing the other team from adding a spec/sub if needed.

However, if the other team agrees to let your team have 83 specs, we dont care.

We've got a 20p so its never been a problem. Hell, have 3 or 4 specs each if ya want.

Remember: all you have to do is ask.
screw you beast! Hell no we won't allow specs!......

sadly we've had some teams cry about this...
I always allow any number of specs that anyone wants, but maybe a good reason to limit the specs is that the more people there are on a server, the more lag the dsl user will get? I don't know, I run cable. lol
Having mulitple specs is also a strageic point. If specA is a good med, and specB is better with a Rnade for example, its easier to fill roles like that. I know we try to have 2 specs if its cool with the opposing team, and along with that we never say that SpecA gets firts dibs in, we see the situation and sub accordingly. You don't put your kicker in as linebacker, cuz he just doesn't fit the role.
And if you play an long match its always nice to sub some fresh meat in.
I've rarely run into clans that bitch about extra specs, I mean seriously, if you have a problem with extra specs for fear of extra team communication you've got some serious room for improvement. We've actually had a couple matches where we pretty much raged the other team (I know, that's a rarity) and it was nice to be able to sub in one of the new guys just so he could get a feel for comp play.
more than one spec hurts my ping. ouchy
that's not the specs dude, that your canadian ping!
