Looking for a lower beta league caliber team to setup weekly 6v6 sw scrims with to help each other get better

we've tried IRC scrimbot a bit, but seem to get a lot of alpha level teams and it's hard to learn from getting spawn raped

Sunday evenings and thursday evenings are the days we scrim

we have a very good server to scrim on and hopefully we can find a team to develop a scrim relationship with
OS might be willing to take you up on this. We're not a bad team but we have 3 or so UT2k4 guys who are just starting to play ET and they're not ready to scrim the teams we'd usually go after.

Hop into #initech on gamesurge and contact myself and/or Hellfox and lets see if we can get something going on Sundays possibly.

drop me an email @ poorboy08@gmail.com or cxclan@hotmail.com...we are looking for the same thing! IRC = #jv
Long Sigs Suck!
Definitely hit us up at cxclan@hotmail.com ... we'd be happy to scrim with someone on a regular basis to pickup our teams skills!
jV, I'll be getting ahold of you guys
you only get bette rplaying people better than you.. you will learn 10x's more facing alpha teams then beta teams even with you.
I definately do believe that playing with better people and better teams will help to improve your play most/more effectively. Although, you do have to have times when you do win and or when you do feel like your effort was effective to keep team morale up as well as confidence. Sucks playing guys that slaughter you all the time...kinda makes you discouraged! looking forward to getting this setup with you guys.

I agree you have to play teams better than you to get better, but I also second what he said....when you only have a few nights a week you can get everyone together, I prefer to have one of the scrims pick up against a good team (had a quick scrim vs .sP tonight, learned a good bit) but want to have a solid second scrim where we can really work on some teamwork issues instead of worrying about being spawn camped
Bill's approach is far better than having scrimming ONLY high beta or above clan. You have to take a consideration that DS is just starting up with 6s stopwatch.
We are also looking at setting up a weekly scrim on Thursday nights. Email me at bugs@teamxodus.net.
Bill....drop me an email.... poorboy08@gmail.com ...want to confirm some times for this thursday!

I think that learning the ropes with even caliber clans is the way to go. Once you have some sense of teamwork and strategy, then you go after the bigger guns. While it is true that you will learn more from scrimming teams better than you, teams that are new to the league won't get much out of scrimming team that are seasoned vets right off the bat.

Start off with low to mid level Beta teams and after you guys get a sense for how you play together, then go for high beta or even alpha scrims.
One of the important things is which top clans you're scrimming. Some can be real asshats. They know who they are. But don't let that discourage you. Just go find a different clan. A lot of upper-level teams seem to enjoy kicking our ass, and we have fun as well, so we keep at it. Slowly but surely improvement will come. It's even better if you can find a top clan that will not only rip you a new asshole, but will help to teach you in the process (much love to the lefties for showing us the ropes). All in all, just don't be discouraged by teams that are jerks. Just because teams are better doesn't mean they're all arrogant and bitchy. Some are, but they have a hard enough time finding scrims themselves. So... good luck. (shit that was a long post.)
thanks all of ya.

much

thanks to all who have sought us out to give advice
yeah, if you don't have your shit together playing alpha teams can be brutal, especially when your guys are still trying to get used to SW vs campaign.

Replicants have always been curtious to me and my clan. But elf does enjoy owning me lol.
what people dont get is that you cant just always play alpha teams...altho yes the skill level is greater you cant start the week playing syndrom and finish it playing >
wow that got messed hopefully you get the idea :/
