TWL Creation of 3v3 League!

Due to popular demand, TWL is proud to announce the creation of a 3v3 league for Enemy Territory Competition! League signups are open now with schedules, maps rotations and complete rules listings to follow after the completion of ND80’s “3 Men in a Tug” tournament. Get your teams signed up now!

In addition to the 3v3 league, signups are now open for TWL’s upcoming 6v6 league starting on February 7th. Exciting new custom maps will be added to the rotation so stay tuned for the final map listing to be released on or before February 1st.

New custom maps will be added to both the 3v3, 6v6 and 7v7 SW ladders as well as new custom Campaigns to the Campaign Ladder. Check the Enemy Territory Forums on TWL's www site or stop by #twl_et on gamesurge and speak with an admin for further details.

you stole my idea :/ ... I was about to create one for STA today, and now you go ahead and create one.. GG... Either way.. I plan on being in this, so Finaly TWL put something out on this.. good games

wait, i thought we already have a 3v3 league, or is this a ladder that we have all been in, and if so, how is a 3v3 league different?

edit: i joined, i think i am the first team to join, this shall be fun, and btw, what are the roster limits since it is 3v3, is it 6, or can we get more?

Any idea what night we might be playing? Hopefully not Mondays, with Beta leagues playing on Monday nights.

We had a ladder, which is ongoing. Leagues run a predetermined amount of time, and have some more restrictions regarding play time and things of that nature.

Posting on our forums in such a manner is not the way to go about being involved with it. Try talking to someone in direct, and more importantly perhaps, private conversation. Say, via IRC.

we can't begin to field a team if we don't know the day/times the 3v3 league will play. please let us know asap.

How about wednesday / Friday " STA on Thursday "

Friday would be a no go regardless....

sunday is by far the most appropriate date considering the number of teams that are on CAL right now...

There will be enough teams in CAL that Sunday would just be a bad night. Most teams will want to do warmup scrims for match and not be playing 3v3. As far as STA goes... um, oh well. Thursdays would still be a great night to do this. It would give a few days to get a few scrims in after CAL and TWL match nights are over.

only approx 30 teams open + invite will play CAL. That pretty much says tells that everyone is sick of 2 map system, and would rather play little 3v3 match in sunday.

I'd go for Sunday or Wednesday

Sunday is bad, for obvious reasons. (CAL)

Agreed. It would be a complete slap in CAL's face to start a brand new league, and probably going to be a popular one at that, on the same night as CAL, especially with all the effort by both leagues to sync up.

CAL is alive?

I don't know why some people are down on CAL. I mean what's the difference between CAL and TWL now anyway? They both run the same cfg and the map schedules are synced up. Only difference I see anymore is that one is on Sunday night and the other is on Monday.

All I was saying was that I don't understand why some teams just play TWL and not CAL. The 6v6 CAL-O and TWL Beta leagues are almost exactly the same. My statement had nothing to do with 3v3.
