The ladder is working perfectly fine.
1) Team with 0 games being played ranked higher than ones with a 1-0 or similar record. -----> Quite common actualy. If Team A joins the ladder and there is only 90 teams in the ladder, they will be ranked #90. Two weeks later, along comes Team B who joins when there are 150 teams; they will be rankded #150. Team B challenges ladder spot #130 and win. They would then move to spot #130. Team B then challenges #115 and wins. They still would be only at ladder rung #115, ranked below Team A at spot 90.
2) Undefeated teams-----> Same as above for the most part. Teams will move up as they challenge more and win. This is exactly how a ladder is supposed to work. This is why when your team is free to challenge another team, you should challenge as high as possible. Nothing to lose. Here's a section from our general ladder rules:
"Any Ladder team that does not have a match scheduled is free to challenge anyone above their ladder rung by 10 slots or 50% of the remaining ladder from your current rank - whichever is higher. (Ex: Rung 100 can challenge rung 50. Rung 48 can challenge to rung 24. Rung 15 can challenge to rung 5)."
Thanks for your questions and I hope this answers them. Good luck.
