Solid Top 10 on the way

Select, Icon, RT, Aether, Apoc, and 311. With Ideal, Blackout, nCn, and Div6 on the way. Not too shabby. It's been a long time i've been somewhat excited about the top ten, guess we recovered from summer after all. Some of the old faces are looking alot stronger as of late. 311 has Phr33ky and sinjix back plus a few pretty good recruits. nCn has also been recruiting well. blackout looks to be pretty good. Div6 also has a very capable roster. And ideal has come back pretty strong as well. Im happy and I'm ridin this bitch all the way to T:V.

...and how is Blackout "solid top ten"? Who have they even played? Eurokuntz would beat the hell out of teams like Ideal, Blackout, nCn, and 311. And where's Unhandled Exception?

I wouldn't leave out Aether from the list and I think ZU could suprise a few people. I think Div6 will just fizzle like previous incarnations (eg. A51, Mutiny, etc.), so I wouldn't count them in just yet.

Another team to watch is Aurora. Looks like they are having serious roster issues. With their reputation, I just don't see them being able to recruit too many great players. While I hope they survive, it's not looking good.

sf was a totally new team at one point, didnt change the fact that they were top 2 material. blackout has alot of s3 players which was a top 10 team. No they havent proved themselves yet, but im sure they will. Dont worry, I wont expect an apology when my predicted top 10 is the actual top 10.

lemme clue you in... the good recruits arent coming, as envy and anyone else who isn't blind can see. Your only prayer is to get your old players to play again, and then yes, you'd prolly be top 10. This thread started out as an optimistic declaration of satisfaction with the ladder and its potential. Way to "validuz" it up with negativity.

For some clarification:

Blackout is not s3. We have 5 s3 guys out of a 22 man roster. That is hardly s3. We have as much $A$ players as s3 guys so if you are going to label us as an reincarnation of s3, might as well of label us as $A$ too.

The only way blackout is going to get into the top 10 is to work our asses off. Which is something we will do but that takes time. Don't expect us to jump into the top 10 in 2 weeks. It is not going to happen.

Asellus, Dimi, f0ker, JMC, MD, MC, Nosh, Toga <--- all s3.

that's, what, 8 people? However, no, we aren't a reincarnation of s3, especially since a few of the people from s3 have changed their position while on blackout.

(Oh, and ho was at one time part of s3... but that was in the early stages of it, so it's up to you if you want to count him.)

Eu should be... idk about BaN and MA, but it's not like they don't "deserve" being up there. I just doubt that teams like exe and eu are going to be pushed off the ladder by TOTALLY new teams that (I fucking HATE using this saying) "haven't proved anything yet" (aka, haven't played a match).

Hehe, i dont know why ppl dont give aurora the credit they deserve, true ppl have labeled them as "cheaters" but they arent a bad team at all.
When we first started Sf we started scrimming ora cuz we knew they would give us a good challenge, hell, they even beat us on alot of maps in scrims. Probably more than we beat them in the early going.
Imo if they get thier recruiting done and start gelling with the new players they will be a force to reckon with. They will easily be in the top 10 and could possibly be #1 some day if they do things right.

and I cant see exe being much higher than 8, and thats disregarding the new teams, if div6 actually plays ( ) then I wouldnt see higher than 9, if ora gets shit together I wouldnt see higher than 10. and if blackout turns out to have the same qualitites as s3 (yes, 8 guys together can be a base for creating a good team by bringing everyone else up to their level), then I wouldnt bet on the top 10 being an easy egg to crack

so, while totally discounting them may be a mistake, its easy enough to see that, if people can actually stay on a team for more than 15 minutes, there may be some life left in the game and some top10 teams now may no longer be up there.

I have to disagree with this, cuz that's just not true. Ideal with a worse roster than they have now, alot less time together, and prolly a little luck got past negativity. A team that beat eu pretty well. Ideal lost some and gained some.. other than bdk's departure they've more than compensated in their recruiting for the players they lost. Not saying they're number 1 or anything.. eu just wouldnt beat them.
