UPDATE FROM MAIN NEWS PAGE

Well the opening day has been decided on. The ladder will be officially open and unlocked 1 week from today. The date is set for May 30th, 2002. The reason we are waiting 1 week is it will give teams a chance to get signed up and rosters filled. The max roster size is 5. The minimum to challenge is 2. Read the rules very carefully. The other reason is we are making ALL NEW maps for this ladder. The plan is this : We will open the ladder with 6 brand spankin new maps and end up with another 6 shortly there after. So totalling 12 maps. After the ladder picks up and what not we can look at adding more and possibly doing different things. If you ask : "Will this require a download for the mappack?" The answer is no. BUT, all servers will be needing updated with these maps which can be done from the Wednesday (5/29/02) before ladder opening and the first match being played. The mappack will be serverside. I can mention you guys are in for a new look and BIG surprise for this ladder. I am not going to release the full details of the surprise but I think that most if not ALL off you participants will love it and will possibly bring more people to this ladder. Also, please read the other 2 news posts by me right under this one, as it has important info as well.

The only problem I see is getting a server. Not many people will want to leave so only 4 people can duke it out. That wasn't a problem for duelMOD because many people can stay in and continue on with their business. If there was some way to do it with everyone in a server (like duel MOD) and pressing f2 to choose your partner along with who you are going to challenge that would be interesting. So multiple matches would go on at a time. Any ideas? The only way around this it seems is to own a server or be on a team with a server.

i redistered my tribe, then they changed there minds about it.. how do i take my tribe off the ladder?

get another partner. No but if you really want to just click quit Tribes 2 Arena 2v2 on your teams roster. YOu have to be a captain or founder to do so.
