me old laggy spikes :\

i dunno. i have dsl, got new comp, on a damn wireless system, i done ALOT of crap to my comp, but still lagg spikes, and these are constant lagg spikes. anyone else have this prob? i have it for 6 weeks now and still counting. should i be concerned? plz help me.

Maybe im just stupid, but isnt there a lag on wireless internet? i thought there was...

i dunno, on my old gateway i never had this prob i was running on windows ME and i was fine. i recently went to XP pro on my new sony, had lagg spikes! the ^wargod upgraded it to XP pro and now its worse. im going to have one hell of a bad summer

lol thats what you get for wasting ur money on a sony its prolly some setting somewhere goto http://www.dslreports.com and do some tests like the speed test and the tweak test. And maybe this is good for you, you might get out this summer

hmmmm i did the tests...it says everything is great 100%! and yet, lagg spikes...

If it was an upgrade do a clean reinstall of XP... I hear that fixes a lot of problems

I had this weird problem (twice actually) where my network card was actually giving me timeouts every minute or so... so when playing I'd freeze up for about 6 seconds every minute or so and my ping would shoot up to 7000 or so... is this what you mean?

Absolutely, under NO circumstances, should you upgrade to XP. Clean install the damn thing only.

Also, did you disable the XP firewall?
