Spawn and Cluster CTF Pu's

hello everyone,

I have been asked to host a spawn/cluster CTF Pickup. I have found an admin that may allow the games to be hosted on his server.

The question is if a pickup was to be schedule to be played: 1) How many of you would be playing, 2) What maps would you like to play, 3) What Day would you like the PU to be on.

Thanks for the reply. The problem with that is if I setup an PU with the admin and he goes to the trouble of setting it up (i.e. loading maps, scheduling his time, etc) and then one person shows up (which makes for a very poor PU) then it becomes a waste of everyone times.

The purpose of this thread is to see if there are enough people that would like to play a spawn/ctf PU. If there are, then I'll schedule it to be played. If there is not, then the only person that wasted any time would be me.

if there is no tourney for the next couple months i think Sunday would be a perfect day to have the PU happen

assuming there is some kind of tourney then probably sometime in the middle of the week or on Friday

Painmaker no offense man but this isn't going to happen. If there isn't a server with spawn mod on it then putting one up could generate some random pickups. If there are like 8 or 10 boner bois in irc wanting to play or something. Create an irc channel called #spawn or something and if there are 10 niggas idling in there then boom. However this is all far fetched and it's very seldom a spawn pu and date is going to happen let alone a regular PU. When's the last PU we've even had?

id say if there was a thread made ahead of time there would be enough as you'd only need like 10 players. or just host them on tues/sunday nights. as for maps prolly beachblitz damnation dangerouscrossing stonehenge etc ofc the lt versions

Just to show you how wrong you are - there is a server on the current server list that does have spawn ctf on it and thank god it is not scpub. but since you hate spawn ctf you are excused from playing it.

As for the last pickup play - was about 2 weeks ago and it was a spawn ctf pickup on xclusive's server.

Awesome. The more people that reply to this thread, the more likely we will have a spawn PU. Ideally, I would like to have at least enough people to play a 5 vs 5 game but like they say, the more the merrier.

Also, if you think someone would like to play Spawn CTF on a pub server, see if they might like to join TWL since any future PU will be announced here. Even if they don't join, please let them know that they can play in the Spawn CTF PU.

As for the maps, i have goatland, DX, SH, BeachBlitz, and Damnation.

As for when they PU will be held, I have Tuesday and Sunday nights, I am assuming that the time will be 10:00 est?

I'd play spawn ctf no problem, just can't show up to every single game

Shadowkiller, not asking people to show up for every PU just to show up for some of them. Like i said, if enough people show up for a 5 vs 5 pu then I would call that a successful PU. What would kill it is if I scheduled a pu and no one shows up :/.

If a PU is schedule, I will announce it here on TWL and if there is not enough people who can make it, then the pu will be cancelled until the next scheduled time. What I would like to see very little of is everyone say they will play in the pu and then no one shows up. I understand and what people plan is not always the way the plan goes but if you say that you will play, please try to make it and if you can't, then please reply to the thread that you can't.'

Thanks again to everyone who replied to the thread and hopefully we will get a spawn pickup here soon and as soon as I find out if and when the pu will be, I'll post the info here.
