[Petition] Remove s8 maps from tourney comp — TWL Forum Archive

They all suck. I cant name one i look forward to play. Its not that they are new and i wont put in the time to learn them. I have put in the time and spent hrs in servers with players but i just dont look forward to it.

Stick with the simple ladder maps that have been played for years. That evens the playing field for everyone. Given how majority of the players play sundays only (scrims are rare these days) if we played maps everyone has played for years its much easier players to play different positions if needed. If you look at past rosters majority of players were ladder players at one point. Even the nubs know the old maps by now.

My personal opinion is set up a vote for eveyone signed up to pick maps. Im sure that can be done pretty easy. It would be fun to see how it plays out. But in the end it was voted by everyone and the majority should rule. Cant hurt to try that can it?

Captains vote maps, so if you want a say in the maps don't be a pussy and step up to captain. We had open votes for ladder for a while and guess what, it was awful. Most T2 players don't know what maps a map play the way it plays, or are biased toward their side, o or d. Then we end up playing occular, drorck, and feign all in the same week.

My team missed what 2? So 6 teams scrimming for 2 per week, missing a few here or there................ Tribaloutpost says 44 total "scrims". Our scrims were always at least 7. mostly 8-9, compared to 10-12 for match day.

The "majority" of people played more scrims than they did matches, almost 2 times as much, compared to people who only showed up for matches.
