**UPDATE**
Season 10 will be a 4 team tournament. Right now we are at ~40 players.

Captains are ...

- Bubbletroat
- Halo
- Raptorz
- Vaxy

August 25th, 2013 -- Signups Open
September 8th, 2013 -- Draft
September 15th, 2013 -- Round Robin, Round 1
September 22nd, 2013 -- Round Robin, Round 2
September 29th, 2013 -- Round Robin, Round 3
October 6th, 2013 -- Semi Finals -- (2 matches, 1v4, 2v3)
October 13th, 2013 -- Finals (2 matches, 2nd match for 3rd place)

Maybe playoffs should give hope to everyone but still reward the higher seeds.

example:

Wild card week "I believe week"
---------------------------------

Lower bracket:
5 vs 6 - 1 match
4 vs winner - 1 match
3 vs winner - 1 match

Upper bracket:
1 vs 2 - for number 1 spot

Finals
-------------------
2 vs lower bracket winner - 1 match
1 vs winner - 1 match

Number 6 can win it all but they'd need the biggest win streak.

Seed 1 and 2 get a bye, bottom 4 teams duke it out 3v6 and 4v5 to determine who gets to semifinals.

Would be cool so teams that are behind halfway through the season dont fall apart and then fuck up scrims and shit for everyone.

Edit: nvm i think thats what u were saying except instead of bye 1v2 play eachother to determine first seed?

Yeah trying to figure out a way without byes, but still have meaningful matches.

1 and 2 advance no matter what, but next sunday becomes harder if they screw around. Either way, always entertaining to have the best duke it out.

Bottom is a dogfight, yes :] but gives a chance to the guys who needed a little time to come together, and still rewards the other teams for their seed.

Maybe higher seeds get an advantage in map selection. Say every match has 3 choices of maps.

Lower seed vetoes one map.
Higher seed chooses map to play out of the two remaining.

Top rated map pool for finals, 1-3 ranked maps or whatever. Lower maps for the lower rounds.

All teams still have to prepare for all maps in a given week...

If you give top 2 teams a bye it's just going to waste time because the bottom team is probably gonna be dead or so bad it's not worth playing.

It's very very very unlikely 6 seed will ever have a chance to win anyway.

Not gunna read all this, but usually the bottom two seeds are at the bottom bcus of roster issues..having them "playing" in playoffs is a waste of time. Goodluck s10 hope u all have a good one

to make things more interesting i think you guys should go back to how it used to be

aka have all 6 teams in playoffs instead of just 4

4 is just .. gay and uneventful and very lackluster imo

Look back through the seasons. I bet in almost all of them the bottom team was either 100% dead due to attendance or so shitty they had no chance either way.

I don't think it really matters honestly

Having only 4 teams total in playoffs in zzz and besides everyone knows that people are more likely to show for playoffs than RR matches (unless youre on Trolling Thunder)

You're an idiot. It doesn't matter?? Have you even been around to see the bottom 2 teams in the past tournies? Having the bottom 2 seeds playong most likely ends in #1 seed getting a bye cus the #6 has ragequit already.

#1 seed usually gets a bye anyway because they are #1 seed and usually win (unless youre on Trolling Thunder)

so either way it doesnt matter

the entire point would be to just have more competition in the actual playoffs, making it more interesting

its not fun without an underdog

Seems like with the smaller team sizes etc... that the people who do not play do not sign up anymore.

The usual suspects not included, which captains know about anyway, or should.
