This is what it looks like when you're a bad boy: http://thyth.com/buffer/Test3.png

@(Thyth) Blue->Cyan->Green->Yellow->Orange->Red that indicates how strong the anomaly is

@(Thyth) Each pixel wide is 5120 ms

Discuss?

Nice.
What defines an anomaly? 5 seconds of what? What is there to discuss without any context or information on the what, how, where, when of the data lol.

But if we're gonna just draw lines on graphs and go on a witch hunt...LOL @ AUREOLE CARRYING THE AURORA LEGACY! What does a HOF need anomalies for?!?!
If you want more specific details come into IRC instead of going on forum rants about how everyone is on a witch hunt. You're awfully defensive in this area it seems.

... No one wants to hear cheat accusations coming from a guy who was banned (twice?) already. It'd be nice if you could just obs cappers normally without sperging about timescale/oob grids and rotating the camera to show us absolutely nothing you know? Also maybe see what some other players are doing once in while instead trying to catch cappers timescaling for 30 mins? thx

@(Thyth) No. That's timescale.

Edit: Regardless of it being in practice still is enough justification for you to stfu

Oh so asking questions is being defensive and writing 4 lines is a rant accusing everyone. Okay! I guess I could come on IRC but you obviously wouldn't be any more forthcoming.

And lo and behold there is ccd data after all! Wow looks like I'm just a big old cheater huh anomaling for 2 minutes straight. Why not post the whole thing then? edit : Or is that just me in a server alone?

What's this???

It's nice to see such an honest, trustworthy person such as mistcane, leading the investigation into cheating hahaha.

I don't recall reading anything about anyone accusing you of cheating on CCD? You've been butthurt about me on your ass since the first time I pubbed against you before last season, so don't act like me calling you out is a surprise.

Also, you do realize that heatmap is not from a match or scrim right? Just a random time you and him happened to be in the server doing whatever..? Not sure what you were going for with that one. I didn't post every heatmap where you lagged or didn't lag, just the ones where you were blatantly experimenting with timescale. So congratulations to you for showing me your heatmap of your practice with a guy where you didn't toggle timescale, really proud of you.

Edit: I'm not leading the "investigation" in any way, nor am I pointing any fingers. I just organized logs into a chart. I'm very aware of the inconclusiveness of these graphs. There's instances where timescalers do show up, and don't show up. However the baseline image we have, http://thyth.com/buffer/Test3.png , clearly displays a resemblance to yours on multiple occasions. You demonstrate that 3 separate times, at least. So stop deflecting shit at me hosscat.

Good thing you're not here to point fingers then huh?

I just had a big laugh now where and when that was from and had to give a mad props to Thyth then, because his method does work (which no proof of is given here).

It's ironic because I was trying to determine why some demos appeared to be sped up when i watch them. Sepcifically your demos mistcane (sorry to call you out again but we all know you cheat so you provided a base case to compare). I was trying to see why, suddenly when you start chasing, the game seems to speed up and why when you would snipe, it seems to slow down. Looking back on it it's hilarious how stupid I am trying to be an E-detective. So I went and made this to see what would happen when I watch the demo.

So yeah I timescaled. Ban me if you must

Case 1 closed. Next!

clownboat y do u troll every thread
Because I love you meyoggdogg
on first page of this thread
Lots of red lines in those charts. Ban anyone with a red line NOW.
oh nice I timescaled on wz last week
I have no idea how to interpret this data. I have no idea what normal is.

bubble trout #1 timescaler
the three guys accused of timescaling all the time (nev, astralis, slush) have some of the cleanest heatmaps.

?
What the fuck are we looking at?

Why does the number of bars vary for everybody?

Why am I not showing up as cheating scum?
thyth is a great troll

Well if even mistcane can get his ban overturned by crying to admins, there's hope for anyone.

Also ownjoo has almost nothing LOL.
post some graphs w/no information about interpreting them

ask people to get on irc for information instead of including it in the forum post

gholan, mooley, and enigma all have busier heatmaps than ownj00 had on xfire last season when half the server was accusing him of timescale

lol "analysis"
These heat maps make zero sense.
I'm thinking maybe if the criteria for the coloring was changed it might help more...
Red = Banned
Green = Suspended
Blue = Non-Cheater

What is so hard to understand here.
ban if people cheated in matches
What does it mean that I have a million are but all blue.

Shitty connection?
lol goheels stop playing dum

u are done bye
Today I learned more people here are missing that part of their brain that allows them to interpret things in a logical and relative manner than I previously imagined.

Bless your souls.
so can we all finally say that timescale has nothing to do with the jittering people are seeing?
There's apparently a few times where players were confirmed testing timescale in a server or something and their graph is spotless. So that right there kind of discredits any of this, but it's still fun to look at the pretty colors.
OMG YOU GUYS CAN'T FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT THIS MEANS

***20 mins later****

Ya so turns out these don't actually mean anything

Based on Thyth's data everyone timescales like once every couple of months except for Hybrid and Tarzul who like to go in server and timescale together every couple of days...Seems conclusive.

will justice be served..
This thread is both interesting and confusing. Thyth: why release all of this if it is inconclusive? What does it actually show? Lagging? Packet loss? Ping variation?
what thyth has done so far is very impressive

once it's tweaked to show more reliable data of actual timescale usage and less "suspicious" anomalies we will be able to really put the logs to good use

also make sure you are all recording your demos etc :>
0[146:31pm0] <@Thyth> I could say more than 5 red lines should be considered cheaters. There would be false positives.

GOGOGOGGO
caught with their pants down!
this is so sketch hahaha i love it
