i avoided the storm here in los angeles somehow. god bless namaste
It's pretty clear where I live south of Trenton now. A lot of people have lost power. A few roads in the area are closed due to downed power lines and fallen trees. A few businesses are opened and they are jammed packed with people. I lost power at about 9 last night but it came back on at about 8 this morning. I overheard a firefighter say that his unit was going to Atlantic city later today to help with the damage.

lol everyone in the Northeast always freaks out about hurricanes. Texas and Louisianna gets hurricanes like that at least once every other year.. It does suck when the power goes out though. Have fun with that .

Yeah that's a good comparison

Lol

Only a bajillion more people live in that part of the country, and they have limited experience handling these types of storms.

I'm not surprised with it. I just think it's funny. I would much rather deal with a hurricane than a tornado or earthquake. I think your life is at much greater risk in those situations. lol
It's not just about the life threatening aspect. The economical impact is huge. Think about how much isn't happening with the NYC metro area shut down. Think about how many people are affected by not being able to use the subway. There's probably ~15 million people without power right now. That's like 5% of the entire country. Pretty insane.
I am the 5%
i thought the OP was just going to say vagina

anyone else? similar mindset?
That joke is so October 28th

Chainsaw fun for the whole family
iso of linchy~~
After a storm a long time ago, we were without power for a week because the power company ran out of transformers after a huge storm and had to have more shipped in. Our tap water was contaminated due to storm, too. We'd head out in the day for food/water/ice/propane which was in short supply.

Neighbors pitched in and helped each other. Those with gas stoves would cook for those with electric stoves. We grilled A LOT! We had big block parties where we ate all the food from our freezer/fridge that would otherwise have gone bad.

Not a bad life.

...and Hybrid, I had a tree fall on my house. It was about 60 ft tall with 3.5 ft diameter trunk. It landed at the exact pitch of my roof and did almost no damage. Whew!

I know it's rough and sometimes it totally sucks to go without all the things we are used to, but you guys will get through it. Huggles for everyone!!!
