So since 2001 and we left ogl we came here (Cav was the admin of ogl t1 ren back then). I know my name says 2002 or 2003 i just forgot my old login shit for a name i cant remember...GuntherDMZ or something. I started with 2 teams merged...2 t1 ren teams and the GC bears. We took #1 from GoD (Not +GoD+ who i played with at the end of t1 ren) on the only ladder going....OGL. Epic disc spam strat on firestom pinned them down and we won 16 vs 16 base. Right then i knew this was the best game ever.
I played ren all of t1. Far more challenging and required far more strats and skill. So the change to base was huge but i loved it and played ever since. I have waged wars and waged great friendships that still exist 14 years later.
The wars were great fun that lead to rivalry. THat lead to constant shit talking. That lead to some pretty intesnse matches and even more shit talking.
That is what made tribes great. We actually had a community at that time. Now its just a bunch of nubs and a handfull of solid war proven vets. But back then we were the only game doing this and continued it for years and years. I have played alot of games activly besides tribes on good teams and it wasnt the same.
So now that change is obvious and twl has shown no interest in TA or continuing the tribes legacy im out. I hope others that keep the forums hopping do the same. Lets the bubble trouts and other nubs that have no clue how to play but have a big fukin mouth keep this place livley. Seems thats what twl wants now.
Since 98 i have well over 2000 matches, played on every ladder, and owned alot of fukers with some green death that lands on a dime. So ggs tribers. If ur anybody ive played vs you back in the day. If your nobody u played a year or 2 and played 20 matches and think yoru good....But not.
So some shoutouts. I have watched kids start this game at 14 15 16 years old. Taught them what i could. Kept them out of real life trouble. Taken drunken calls at 3am when things were not going well for some. Girl advice was my major in tribes. Drunk nights with old buddies while playin where great. nigs teamspeak was the best ever. Ever. Some guys were just great teammates and taught me alot.
