So is Tribes Ascend beta any good?

Its OK. It has a fun factor simply because it is tribes...kind of.

It has a WTF factor because of the design decisions they have made.

So it IS tribes but is frustrating because it isnt tribes.

Hmph. That sounds like every Tribes game since... Tribes.

i like it mutton. red is right. theres some strange design features. but I dont dislike them all and every patch has been for the better. best thing to do is try it.

It's fun, but it's not Tribes. Not my Tribes anyway.

T2 is infinitely better.

its unfun enough to not possibly be addicted to it. with T2 i was hopelessly addicted...moreso with b++ and even moreso with classic.

this isnt in the same fucking ballpark. i cant play more than about 2 hours without getting totally fucking sick of it.

My limit so far has been 15 mins...

my main enjoyment has been because i'm the best player in the beta by a pretty wide margin without having to try at all

Mediocre, which is sad compared to what it could be.

i use nothing but ranger assault rifle

when people get pissed at me using hitscan instead of projectiles i tell them "play a real tribes game noob"

I like Tribes and Call of Duty, so Tribes: Ascend is right up my alley!
