Apologies.. after playing for 20 minutes, I don't vouch for this crap. Carry on...

In it's current state, it IS a bad game. How can you deny that?

Because you're comparing it. Of course if you compare it to previous Tribes games then it's not ideal (excluding Vengeance/AA...they don't deserve any relative recognition).
But seeing as how I've been playing TF2 because Tribes2 is old and worn out then I'd say this game is as close to an okay tribes game as we're ever going to get.
Take what you can get. This game, compared to modern ones, is superior in every way.

No, I'm not comparing it to the old tribes games. It's going to take me ~2 months at my current playing amounts to unlock my first class.
So I'm basically stuck with two medium classes until then. Trust me, you'll be bored in a few weeks. It's geared towards people with short attention spans, so it doesn't try and make itself viable in the long runs.

The game is getting better.
I am having fun playing and *gasp* grinding for unlocks.
TBH all they have to do is have projectiles inheret momentum, make energy regen a bit faster, and tweek the skiing tad, then it will be close to what feels right.

I'm not 12 anymore, I've got more money than time. So I don't mind paying for quality, but won't settle for subpar, even if it's free. Tribes 2 (and even T1) had a "Paper-Rock-Scissor chemistry", TV lacked it and it appears TA does also.
