Our first Closed Beta Patch is here! Version 0.1.523 contains new maps, skills and physics changes, server improvements, UI changes and more!
want to see the cap in action still? Go to the top of the center hill on kata. fly up and ski all the way down. In tribes, the longer you ski on a downslope, the more speed you get (think xtreme ski maps). In T:A there is a point where you will still be going down a slope, but your speed will just stop going up. This is the speed cap and it is the main problem with the game. Why work on perfecting routes when you will effectively be stunted by the physics of the game regardless of how well you hit the route.

its still faster than the last build tho. my issue is not speed while skiing. its getting started again. a lot of the time when yer chasing and a capper goes down, if it gets picked up by an enemy with any sort of speed, hes gone. u have zero chance of disk jumping and restarting the chase.

Definitely agree with this...

I've not played the game yet, but after watching the heavy love video I couldn't help but think it looked very familiar. Much more so than T:V at least. I'm definitely going to give it a try.

Someone like you wouldn't have a basic understanding of psychology. You see, if you reward someone for doing something bad, you encourage them to continue doing the bad thing. Perhaps the reward in this case is monetary and the bad thing in this case is killing Tribes. By not throwing money at Hi-Rez, I am discouraging their bad behavior.
You probably bought Modern Warfare 3 too.
