Prob with T2 Install

I lost my t2 cd, and felt like playin again. I copied the cd off a freind, installed ok, but when I patch it says lava.vl2 is invalid and cannot be overwriten. Is this a knwn issue or do I just have to get off my ass again and drive across the city to get the actual t2 disc?

Use the T2 patch first aid http://www.teamwarfare.com/files/dl/Tribes2/t2firstaid2.exe

then download and use this patch.
http://ftp://ftp1.sierra.com/pub/patches/pc/si_tribes2_update_21570-24834_25034.exe

This might fix it.. if not then I dunno :p

The CD is damaged, the file lava.vl2 will never copy off of the CD, so you need to get a new CD, or whatever, first aid will do nothing for it.

Couldn't he simply just get the file from someone then run the patch?

yeah, cd is broke. but also do u do a fresh install then add any scripts before putting patch on? cause if u put any scripts on before patching it it wont work.

If you got the file from somebody else, you would have to get the file right off of the CD, if somebody wants to do that for you, then feel free to get it from them

Cough up 10 bucks and get a new cd/key
