Old school players back for Ascend?

Cyanide Christ here . Long time guys, was wondering if there was anyone left from the good old days. I was in high school for tribes and tribes 2, now I have graduated college.
Weird to think about...but I had some friends in the community, including many I met in real life (LittleBrew any chance you're out there?)and I saw Tribes acend was coming out.

Anyways I know vengeance sucked balls but I was wondering what the expectations were for Ascend? I am getting a new PC soon and will be back on tribe 2 to warm up for Ascend to be back full time as a tribes player.

baha what's up c5 I can't believe I got a response. It appears as if old schoolers are still out there. You playing ascend? So far I am reading it is suppose to be much more tribes 2/1 influenced than vengeance.

Got I can't wait to get whore pwned in some good old fashioned arena...at first at least

Good to see everyone else too, looks like there are a few players around, sadly I love T2 but if you played back in the day, and play now its not the same. T2 in it's prime and fully fucntional is LEGEND, it is the only game I have come back to 10+ years later.

But people don't really play anymore and last I played the browser/tribes were down is this still the case? No one was ever in Arena anymore and there were only a couple CTF servers.

I'll be back on T2, and will stay on there if ascend blows but it would be nice to have another tribes game, fully functionally and upgraded but they need to keep the same concept.

I remember playing some arena pubs with you, C5 too.

well there is 1 t2 server left that is usually full.....also full of mostly terrible maps - 64 player server - way too many people

but i still play on it

yea cuz no one wants to populate another server

I suspect a few old players might crop up as the day gets closer.

they're gonna show up, exploit any and all awesome design imbalances in the release version of the game, and quit 3 weeks later with a VAB nothing left to prove

and then thyth will come in and save the day

It's been awhile! I played with you a few months ago as nostalgia and kept saying hi, but you thought I was a creepy stalker and left before I could tell you who I was.

Then I played last night and saw Kinky for a bit but dropped out pretty quick because some things came up. Anyway I'll be on this Friday evening. If you have Tribes still installed we should play. I'll be accompanied by a mass of newbies if all goes to plan. I'm like the pied piper of Tribes.

I saw you pop onto a server the other night, I was going to say high but my in game chat was not working correctly (forgot to set an affintity) you probably don't remember me, but i was the mascot for Osis..

Don't be bashful Venz. I remember you! I do always feel like people aren't going to remember who the hell I am though. But that's what happens when a game is a decade old.

Either way, I'm glad to be back, even if I do hear a lot of rumbling about Ascend possibly maybe perhaps going to shit. I will try it though, and give it a shot.
