Open Command Prompt and type "assoc .vl2=CompressedFolder"


Command Prompt can be accessed via Start > Run and typing "cmd"
or
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt

You can just rename the extension to .zip if you have Windows XP or higher.

but then you'd have to rename all .vl2 files to .zip and future ones... much easier to just associate them

I guess in win7 it doesn't give you the option to open with windows explorer shell. the point isnt to use another program, it's to use the built in folder structure, hence the topic.

Typing "assoc .vl2=CompressedFolder" is still easier than downloading and using a program.
