I jump back and foth between 5-25-0-0 and 7-55-0-0 because I can't decide on which is better for me :v

The former gives less (zero) rubber bullets but if you're a HPB like me it forces you lead by like half a screen if your target is moving at any sort of speed, which makes it much more difficult to get the initial aim down and/or keep it on target if they're doing dodges.

The later isn't nearly as good in terms of registering hits, but it makes the aiming/leading much easier if you're a HPB.

I've used many different settings and am constantly changing in search of the new hotness, but I always find myself coming back to the "standard". 5/25/0/0 There are quite a few players who use 7/31/0/0 though so it's unofficially the second standard, although I don't have any success with it. I think the most important thing is just finding something that doesn't rubber bullet and getting used to it, as long as it is consistent; it isn't a substitute for aim.

How about posting average pings with your settings. I have a fairly low ping probably 20s-40s, and I have a hard time being able to tell much of a difference with IP at any setting. What do the low-pingers use?

I ping 60-120 and use 1-2-1-1. It is fairly jumpy but no non-regs whatsoever. The primary difference I notice in performance between 5-25-0-0 and 1-2-1-1 is that I get far less non-reg MA discs with 1-2-1-1.

Never tried anything but IP for chain, cause I pretty much suck at chain, or so it seems the way I get chained down while trying to fly away with a flag...

Whatup Thraq-flux, IP makes a big difference with MA discs too. I honestly notice that as much as I do improved cg. That may just be because I suck at cg though.

i cant stand when ppls say ip is cheating...i was being cheated by getting millions of rubber bullets w/o ip.

IP evened the playing field more than anything IMO. It definitely made the cg a little overpowered but not to an extent that I feel it unbalanced the game.

I only play classic ctf, I should have specified. I'm sure it is a much bigger problem in arena.

edit: I don't really see it as having unbalanced ctf, has it made cg more powerful? Absolutely. Has it made a difference to the extent of drastically changed the game? I don't think so.

5 25 0 0 for euro ping (60ms - 70ms)
5 50 0 0 for usa ping (180ms - 220ms)
5 20 0 0 was good for really low ping (30ms - 50ms)

Any packet loss with that ping?

Try tweaking your prediction ticks down some and up your max warp ticks to 2 ... ish.
