I understand concerns, but if adjustments are needed then we will take action. We aren't going to keep something going,when there is no way it will happen.

Nobody has yet, so i'm going to throw some names in: (this is all seriousness too)
I took some time to think of who I thought could be a great captain due to their knowlege of the game and what they have accomplished.

my votes for captains
1. Darkstrand (there isn't much he doesn't know about in t2)
2. JT (very capable and has a good knowlege database)
3. Proj. (I mean I hear he is the best great chance to prove it)
4. Jewels (You may not want to but you have insight and know how to keep your group tight)
5. Fettuccine (I didn't mind taking orders from him)
6. Essence (I cant believe i said this but yeh i think if he really tried he would be successful)
7. Tarzul (face it Tarzul you and DS are two peas in the same pod)
8. Bran & or Hybrid
9. Toys (his cast sound like he thinks he knows alot )
Anyway those are 9 more that I would like to see step up!

ya but the only server is Goons right now.

Hopefully after this since we are advertising hardcore with the goonies that we can get them to dl some twl maps and get then start having some proper pubs

i counted 97 (or so) people signed up for this already... great job advertising/talking this tournament up. my only advice would be to cater to the average and below average players so that they can feel like they contributed to their team's effort. we already know who the best players are, i would love to see some highlights from new players.

Hey everyone! just an update for you all.

first off thanks for being patient and getting signed up early.

we have alot of exciting things going on with this tournament and some changes are having to be made because of the over welming number of players signing up (124 at last count).

1) we were going to do a single game elimination but with all of the old school players reinstalling and shaking off rust i didnt want to have guys play 1 match only to lose and fall back off the face of the "tribes map". so we are going to make it a double elimination so some teams will have to play 2 matches in 1 day. i know some of you will be unhappy with some of these decisions but just think if you are on the losing team in week 1.

2) Tribes Network has said they would like to shoutcast the matches as well as the draft along with the "normal" shoutcasters such as toys, cheerios, and maybe projectile. they will have a website up soon to advertise the casts.

3) some concerns i have are guys reinstalling, make sure you install twl and twl2 map packs. Join a pub server to work out bugs before match or practice time (if your captains choose to have practices). Goonhaven pub server is good to shake off the rust, but it lacks many of the twl/twl2 maps that we will be playing, so jump on an unpopulated server maybe and refamilirize yourself with twl maps. we will have a list of maps that we will be playing

4) with so many people signing up we will be deciding to maybe increase the matches to 11 vs 11 or more. but no more then 12 vs 12. as of today, with 8 teams and 124 players there will be 15 players per team and we want to avoid the benchwarmer situation. we are also discuccing a "sub Pool" for those that may have issues with showing up.

OUR FIRST MATCH IS AGAINST AN OPPONENT CALLED TBD! LETS GET EM!

Fettucine and I will probably do some kind of draft show to hype the shit out of this.

Hopefully cheerios' parents give him some money to get internet and he can return to cast with me. Basically his parents found out he was caught cheating and cut him off.

I just counted 136 players on the Tourney Roster.

I Could be off 1 or 2 either way but man that's decent so far.

ALOT more than I had excepected. Hopefully more will continue to sing up.

We are just a shoutcast/podcasting network for all tribe games. We are still well under website development, although our studio and hardware is a go. We are in public relations with Hi-Rez Studios, the new tribes franchise holder. So basicly we have involved the community to help mold the game with interviews and podcast discussion.

Why we are here?
Luck really, saw a post about a tourney, so we offered help if needed. We understand the hard work that goes into this, why not make it easier if we have the equipment. We are not trying to barge in and take over shoutcasting, we are offering our services for the community to use. So the shoutcasters you are use to hearing are welcome to use our hardware.
