We are excited that we have to do it! We are growing exponentially. In the past 48 hours alone, we've had over 600 new registrations. We have a member base 107,000 users strong, with over 14,000 teams registered. With 17 games to compete in, across 77 ladders, and 13 leagues... it's astonishing. We cannot express our own amazement as to how quickly we expand, and how supportive everyone has been towards what we are trying to achieve.

Recently, you may have noticed a slow down in server response during the evenings and other peak times, and we want to fix it. Our speedy growth requires us to make a major upgrade for now, and for the future.

Since our operational revenue is a negative number, the time has come for us to ask you, the gaming communities, for monetary contributions. We desire to continue offering the top notch service we have offered thus far, and you can make this happen. TWL is not a business. We operate due to the gracious time donations by our Staff, the support of TeamSound, and our user base.

What do you get? As much as we can offer: our gratitude, a warm fuzzy feeling that you are helping TWL continue onward, a listing on our contributors page, and an extended forum title so everyone knows you've helped us out. If we were PBS, we'd send you a tacky mug or shirt to go along with larger contributions, but alas, we're not.

If you want to help by contributing, please use PayPal and this address: TWL Contribution. There is no fixed dollar amount we want to reach, because TeamWarfare has recurring costs, and any overage after all is said and done will be used to cover those. We want to completely cover all hardware costs, setup fees, licensing fees, and anything left over will be used to help alleviate our month-to-month operating costs.

Questions / Comments should start here:

Woohoo, bout time. hehe. Can't wait till the new rig is up. From the sounds of it in the general forums, it's going to rock!! Good luck!
as i've stated many times before, i am more than willing to donate to TWL provided they fix the demo archive. use my $$ to change it back to how it was last summer (see pic):

when you clicked '5 demos', it would take you to a specialized page for that match where you'd see the available demos FROM ONLY THAT MATCH and be able to select which one you'd like to preview the responses to and download. that page did not 'disappear' after a month or so like the current demos do...once it was created, it was there for good. also, i hope you guys will never again delete any of these demos. i'm very willing to donate a reasonable amount of money and/or maybe even a HD to help ensure this, and i know others feel the exact same way.

if someone can assure me that my contribution will at least help this change to be made, i'll send you a paypal within the week.
not sure if donating the map test server counts i dont really have any money to spend atm. ill put more into this next time i have some money heh.
I donated some and going to do more on the next pay day. I am still waiting for my TWL contributor tag though.
Technically, a hard drive crash isn't "deletion".

The demos r still there, but it costs more to recover them than 2 new rigs would.
Yeah, when do those TWL contributor titles get handed out?
test
:[
I am so happy, I got mine today.

<---see Thanks TWL. The contributor's list is getting pretty big now.
Is it just me, or does it look like almost all of the contrabutions are coming from the Tribes community?

of course

vlasic, we aren't on the same page here. i understand that the demos from before the crash are gone, and while that sucks, what's done is done and there's basically nothing we can do about it. fine...that's not my point.

here is another exerpt from team 311's history:

see those 8 311/Rapture demos? if you click on the '8 Demos', you get taken to the demo library where you can search for them. there used to be a screen that would say "311 vs Rapture, 12/5/2002" and would list all the demos from that match and JUST the demos from the match. then you could more easily see the demos available for d/l and from whose POV. you'd click the one you wanted, and it'd take you to the d/l page with comments, etc.

this made it a crapload easier to see who had public demos from each specific match. if you guys will implement this again i'll contribute
Well this thing started with Polaris, Triston, and RedDread, all Tribers, not really a shock that tribers are the one that return support.

I probably normally wouldn't contribute, but after meeting Polaris personally, gotta love the guy.
Thanks for everything TWL!
I agree with what marantz is saying, that has bugged me for awhile too and needs to be fixed, I will contribute once I get my paycheck, I was gonna send my next contribution to TW, but TWL is more than just a forum to me now so I guess ya'll get first dibs, heh.

Vlasic, what he means is when you click the "8 demos" from the match it just takes you to a listing of *ALL* the demos on TWL, used to before the hard drive crash it would just show you *ONLY* the 8 demos from the Rapture vs 311 match. Sorting through that demo page is a fucking pain and worse than TWs demo archive IMO, dont make us suffer, plz, we're sending you money atleast to fix it.

I dont slang or bang I just smoke muthafuckas like it aint nothang!
i dunno how people can "demand" a fix before contributing, come on, that takes some balls. there's so much other shit to contribute for, like the fact they actually store those demo's when they dont have to. ah well, to each his own.
