The GeeZers invite you to join them when they converge on St. Louis, Missouri for the second annual FogieLAN. Being held at the Holiday Inn Airport, FogieLAN 2 will happen August 29th through September 1st, 2003. That's Labor Day weekend, so you have a four day weekend!
Joining MasterGnr in this year's planning is the Godfather of the Saturday Night T2 pickup, Flyguy. He has aggressively begun to gather sponsors and prizes, and even at this early time has gotten the support of Altec Lansing, AMD and Alienware. While we recognize there are several lan events occurring this summer, its never too early to start planning and with that in mind, we are opening a pre-registration. We expect the cost of admission to be $50, with rooms going for $69 (up to 4 people in a room) a night. That covers the entire weekend of fun and fragging. Expect a tournament or two of Tribes2 (and Americas Army too), as well as the support of the Interweb Broadcast Network who will be bringing live coverage of FogieLAN all weekend long. And don't forget the trademark FogieLAN T-shirt with your own name on it. The t-shirt was a great memento for last year's party.
Feel free to ask any of the FogieLAN Attendees about their experience during last year's event. FogieLAN is about meeting the people you play with. Its about sharing a beer (or favorite beverage) with the person you chat with in mIRC. Its about getting together and sharing stories, just like a couple of ol' fogies. The best part is that you will also create more stories!
We are still working on making FogieLAN something you will truly enjoy. As the time quickly passes, we will be keeping our attendees updated (via mailing list) with all additions of prizes, sponsors and important news items.
