Man I miss seeing these old players. It's like rare pokemons. Shroom/Azrael were really good 311 LD too. ZP was grade A+ LD when he played for the Vehement. :F I remember when Kaertes (spelling) at the end of our maps would try and ram ZP with a havoc.

only annoying thing was having cav pick paul as "best player of the year" or some shit way back when. paul was pretty garbage as far as ld go, but i know cav was our resident disc spammer and didn't know anything anyways.

too bad he wasn't even a top 10 ld. the guy would chase any shiny object that passed through his fov. In fact, he's one of the few ld where you could see just how subpar he was because of that one 7 man demo between his team and homerpf's team, where you can watch homerpf play solid, almost wannabe-projectile-esque defense while paul goes around chasing everything that moves and costs his team the game.
he ended up with the high score though, so it's cool.

everyone knows the best LD were on the west coast. sry scrubz.

I had two of Pauls demos from about 2002. One was on Slapdash and one was on Abbadon. The Slappy one was good, but he was shriking iirc, and the abbadon one was fairly average (he was sniping/LD).

I think guys like Madrabbit, Homerpf and sterIO (yes and even proj)were better than paul. Sure he was good, but he was a little overated at the time imho.
