Anyone here uses the duo of cordless keyboard + mouse?

How is the performance, any lagging since its cordless?
Cordless sucks for gaming. You'll find yourself running out of batteries frequently. Not good if you are in a match or something.

I got that $80 wireless keyboard + wireless mouse set free from logitech the other day, have yet to use it though

i have the wireless mouse that has the recharge cradle..and it rocks
For some reason i alway felt like i was getting mixed signals from my old Logitech wireless mizouse. Coulda been alot things i suppose. But i couldn't take it any more. Now i'm wired and 4 buttoned. So i may try to get a 5buttonwireless if it has a charger. I used to have to keep a fresh set of batteries around for scrims and matches. Swapping batteries just sucks.
Logitech MX 700 Wireless mouse is the first wireless mouse to transmit radio signals equal to USB port capacity. Therefore elimating wireless delay. A friend of mine has the 700 and you can leave it out of the charger for about every other day. The 700 is also heavier due to batteries in the mouse.

I have a Logitch MX 500 corded mouse. Excellent mouse. Very smooth movement and tracking. Does not loose tracking when moved fast. Excellent mouse.
there aren't any performance issues so long as you change the batteries when you're supposed to.

The thing I don't like about em is how heavy they are. They're noticeably heavier than almost any other mouse on the market.

Durak -- I break out fresh batteries for a match. Then I rotate them into alternate electronic devices.
I'm using a Logitech Cordless mouse for 2 years now.
Perfect so far. Not the optical one... good ol' ball you need to clean up =)

I have tried many other mouse. Microsoft optical and Logitech dual optical.... none equal the feeling I got with this one. It's old but perfect for me.

I have the same, MX 700. This is by far the best mouse I have ever used. Its just a plus that its wireless. I also have my old dual optical logitech plugged in via ps2 just in case I have been gaming all day long and my wireless dies on me.

azn i have had that kb and mouse combo for a while now... the battery usage is good, but the mouse SUCKS.

My advice to you is buy an intellimouse explorer (corded) or an mx700; also, use rechargeable batteries.

EDIT: The mouse sucks for gaming, that is... and pinpoint photoshop work... otherwise it's good, its just got a low dpi sensor and low cordless transmission rate, making it very easy to lose tracking.

i used cordless shit for the longest time and i felt like the biggest newbie once i got normal mouse/keyboard. it DOES make a BIG difference imo.

dont use cordless.
(the batteries didnt bother me, its the fact shit with a cord is much more responsive)
I have the MS wireless optical intellimouse explorer. It is by far the best mouse i have ever had. Regular Energizer batteries last an average of 16 days in it, and I use it for hours everyday. The only thing i don't like is it's power saving feature. It will turn it's lazer off and blink it every second to save power if it isnt used for X amount of time. So if i dont move it for 30 seconds depending on the blink cycle it can take up to a second to reinitiallize. But that rarely if ever happen in gaming. I have NEVER had the signal cutoff, or had it act wierd. Wireless is now better then corded.
thx

The Logitech MX700 is a great mouse. There is no lag and the rechargable stand makes keeping it always charged very easy.
yah i got a elite duo but it sucks balls my mouse eats ultra long lasting rechargable lithium batterys hella fast have to replace batterys every 2 1/2 days

I think microsoft has a wireless optical that uses bluetooth for signaling.. that should be a bad ass mouse. bluetooth rox.

I use the MX700 and love it. i like the weight and the shape of the mouse. it took me a little while to figure out how to get the thumb buttons to work in game but finally got it to work. It also has a neat little button on top where you can switch programs that are currently running, kind of like an alt+tab on your mouse.

the rechargable stand is a life saver.
How do you have them all working in-game?
i have one of the first microsoft explorer mouses... haven't had a prob, but the buttons have kinda fux0rd though... sometimes the right one gets stuck or it just randomly clicks

I have the MS Bluetooth keyboard/mouth desktop and I'm pretty satistfied. My biggest complaint though is when the batteries are getting to about 1/3 power, windows will start spamming messages that kick you out of any full screen app. That sucks.. but in the event that you want to sit 30ft away from your monitor, the thing still transmits that far. go blootoof
I have a demo of me running out of batteries mid-match cause i used a shitty cordless.

i have the mx700 and it sucked with drivers that it came with, but update them and its grrrrrrrrrrrrreat. its always been good for classic with old/new drivers, but (don't hate me) i play ren and i'm a sniper chaser which means i snipe moving targets while i fly, and it didn't have quite enough precision. the new drivers however alleviate this problem and i think increase its refresh rate. i wouldn't have any problem reccomending this mouse to another gamer as long as they update drivvvvvvers.

he's right. i just got the ms intellimouse BLUETOOTH wireless...great mouse, but i have to change batteries every week. too expensive and too retarded.
the rechargeable would be awesome though :>
u people suck. batteries arent shit. they never ever bothered me and i had 2 sets of cordless keyboard+mice.

its the REACTION TIMES. corded is QUICKER than cordless. u may not think so, but if u play alot, you will notice a BIG difference when u switch between cordless and corded. easily.

I just got that same cordless duo set for free from Logitech the other day. I gamed with it the first time today and noticed a huge difference. I think it must lose the signal to the mouse often b/c I would right click to jet and nothing would happen. Or I would move and nothing would happen. I'm definitely going to keep my corded mouse plugged in to a USB port for when I game.

For regular usage though, it's pretty sweet. The keyboard is very nice and the mouse works well for plain ol' web stuff.

I hate you, go away.

I got the logitech cordless Elite Duo right before X mas..

i have had to change batteries once and i use my comp every day for around 4-12 hours. it ran out in the middle of a pub and i was kinda like WTF.. but i just got some new batteries , popped them in, and it worked like new and i continued playing..

downtime ~ 1.5 mins. BIG DEAL

other than batteries i havent had any problems with either of them, aside from the mouse doesnt react well when i try and jerk the mouse quickly (say to dj), it just freaks out.So as long as i dont spaz on it, it works great.
