well, as most of you know, tonight was a pretty big night for 311. we came in as the underdogs and took Rapture to 3 maps in a series of games i wont forget anytime soon. i had a load of fun tonight.
what you might not know is that tonight was our leader Nordramor's last match with the team. he's graduating in the next few weeks and leaving for real life. most of you that know him know him from his famous shoutcasting from the TsN network. nord has always been my favorite caster, even before i joined his team. the depth and intensity he brings to the mic is like nothing else.
similarly, the depth he brought to a bunch of "311 nonames" from the T2 community is equally impressive. nord has led 311 since the spring of '01, molding the team from another mediocre 12 man base team into a top notch ++ and classic contender. ever since i joined in april (and until we became somewhat noteworthy in the summer), i saw alot of potential on this team. noone in the community or other teams had recognized it, but i saw in team 311 the ability to be at the top. it is almost solely thanks to nordramor's dedication to both the game and the team that brought 311 to the top.
as he moves on with life, i have nothing but respect for the guy that took me on as a newbie in ++ and helped me improve my game enormously. nordy, you've been THE BEST leader i've ever been a pleasure to play for and i wish you the best in life, whereever it may take you. i think i speak for the whole team when i say thank you very much, good luck in life, and god bless.
