OK what is it?
THis is a T2.fla file for use in Flash MX (file size 8.35 MB zipped). Now what this does is enable you to click, drag, and druel your way to making map strategies for T2 (visually- much like the overhead view from the CC). But since this is a Common Library for Flash MX, you can use motion tweening to animate your strat, and basically publish a visual strategy that anybody can view via their browser...
#1 you choose a map and drag it into the workspace (Storm and Inferno options available for all maps)
#2 you start dragging icons for players, vehicles, etc.. into place and begin the game of Tribes chess
#3 add tweening animation to show those HO routes, cap routes, or a certain deploy sequence
#4 use the color coding to show whom is grouped with whom, or what they are resposible for deploying or task assignments via Yellow team "own the midfield", "support blue team with flag escort"...
#5 I'm not a Flash guru, but you can develop your own groups from the icons provided and start making strats within 10 minutes, start to published!!!!
It includes 98% of the T2 maps from the new patch release, Xpack, etc...
Player icons, vehicle icons, deployable icons, yada...
(many icons have colored options, ie red, blue, yellow, orange, and green; so you can group by color.
This is something I've always wished was part of Tribes, but being a Flash oriented tool, should open the door for more people to use this same technique for many other games.
I apologize that this is Flash MX exclusive right now for building strats. But as mentioned above, once built and published (as an *.swf file) anyone can view it.
I'm just hoping Keeper, Qing, Tinker, Deadbeat, or anybody that can spare some webspace will host this so the community can try it out.
There is an included readme.txt file in the zip that tells ya where to put the *.fla file (so it will be a Common Library) and get going right away with building visual map strats.
