new mouse, logitech mx 500. i understand the 5 new buttons not working, but its kind of stupid that mouse 3, aka click on mouse wheel doesnt work in t2. it it the mouse drivers?

also, this mouse it optimized from browsing, yet the mouse wheel if very buggy..aka 3 clcicks nothing, 1 clcik after u get half page of scroll...again, drivers? if so, where do i get them?
Here is the mouse software/current drivers. Also, what mouse did you have before this? Did it have as many buttons?

it was a microsoft ps2 mouse..aka left click, right click, scroll..nothing else
In that case, after you DL the most current software/drivers, you'll most likely need to do what I had to do. (T2 wouldn't recognize the buttons).

Locate and open the file clientprefs.cs

locate the following line:

$prefs::Input::MouseEnabled = "0";

and change it to read:

$prefs::Input::MouseEnabled = "1";

After that, just delete all of your DSO files, restart T2, and you should be able to bind all of your mouse buttons.

**I didn't need to, but some people had to, in addition to the above steps, find the option (in T2 option screens) to enable Direct Input mouse.

I don't think I've left anything out. Good luck
There is a problem between the logitech mice and windows when running games. The problem has to do with accepting both MS Office compliant signals at the same time as non-compliant signals. There is a registry hack availible at logitech's site which solves this problem. Sorry I don't have a link but it was pretty easy to find.
It's on the same page the link above takes you to. It's below on the right side.

Small world, I just bought my self one of the mx 500's today also, but I haven't installed on my T2 comp.
What is the best prog to open up a .cs with?

I have no idea what the "best" one would be but Notepad or Wordpad work just fine.

What he said ^

I've had two wireless Logitech mice, and the mousewheel and mouse3 buttons NEVER worked in games for me with Mouseware installed. I even tried the aforementioned registry fix and it made no difference.

I've also seen others post that for the 4th and 5th mouse buttons to work, the mouse had to be hooked up to the USB port instead of PS/2. My mice only had 3 buttons, and they worked fine without the Mouseware software installed when hooked up to the PS/2 port.

I use the usb port currently but I also tried it on the ps2 port and it worked properly. One thing to note... what you have the buttons binded as in windows (ex: Internet Back Command for middle button etc) makes a difference. Some binds like "Universal Scroll" etc will cause problems.
Latest review I read on the Logitech mx 300 had this quote in it:

"Logitech tech support has told me that a new version of their software will be out soon and will have improved support for games."

Did anybody find a fix for this, I have the same mouse, and the only buttons that have been working are shift and control, I can't get any of the f1-f12 keys working.
I dont have a Logitech, but Ive noticed mine hasnt been refiring like it was before (thank God). So I guess this works for all.
