help me dear lord, t2 reinstall problems

Hey, i just reinstalled t2 and it does not work. I used the downloadable version that someone got off of fileplanet and mirrored. It is version 25034. I installed DT and ran it, after getting into the game and accepting the agreement, it said "In order to play tribes2 online you must use the provided shortcuts", any ideas?

is DT being targeted t0 teh tribes2 thing in the dynamix thing?

Try using the provided desktop shortcuts that dt provides.....?

Or that other thing with the thing.

You need to start T2 from the "DefenseTurret (Online)" shortcut on your desktop OR change the "T2 Online" shortcut to:

C:\Dynamix\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online

The Sierra Updater (SierraUp.exe) has had problems since last year (or longer) and will always give that error.
