They're both great games, each for their own reasons.
I hope TWL adds BF1942 to the ladders.

I agree, BF 1942 is much better than Qix T2's "warfare on an epic scale."

However, from a competitive "sport" (iunno why that was used to categorize this game :/) Tribes 2 is an incredibly fun and totally different type of game.

There are supposedly two different directions(visions) for the Tribes line. BF 1942 is a fun version of the massive warfare vision

I will enjoy them both

BF 1942 take as much skill as frogger

... and wheres the jetpacks? Sorry, but imo shooter games where you point and shoot just arent as fun as T2, regardless of graphics (the graphics on battlefield look pretty good)

just got doen playing some battlefield.

its kinda fun but comp mod is much better. Physics are ASS in battle field. Vehicles are nice but dueling one person to another is almost impossible. Something is really screwed with the physics.

Hopefully that will change with the retail release of it. But it still wouldnt come clost to replacing T2 for me...

Its pretty cool, u can drive Aircraft carriars (wow fun...), planes(shrike), tanks(tank), battleships(same as carrier), operate huge as guns(CC turret control)... its pretty cool...u can even parachute(jet pack) =p
