calling on smart people (I expect no relpies from farty)

I have a razer BOOMSLANG and I used to use the thumb button for mines in T1. T2 doesn't seem to recognize this button as a different button than the mouse1 button. This is disheartening and sometimes makes me cry, especially with the return of mine disking. The wheel seems to be button3 when pressed but that just doesn't work for me. I want my thumb button.

please magic people make it happen for me.

I have an MS explorer, same problem, I think you need to use an outside program to bind it to a button. like Z would throw mine.

not positive...but cant you bind the mouse buttons on the Razor to keys? So just bind a keyboard button in T2 then in the config for the mouse bind that button to the letter for your mine?

Did you select "DINPUT MOUSE" in your controls menu?

I have a intelismouse exploroer and I have the buttons for teh thumb working fine. What you have to do is make sure that the software for the mouse is running. If it is not then T2 will not make it work right.

Go to: Start > Run and type msconfig

click on the start up tab

make sure that the software for the mouse is checked off to start and run at all times.

Restart computer to make sure it is running and start up T2. Make sure your buttons are assigned to the thumb buttons you want and it should work for you now.

Correct he has to make sure that software is running and config

i use the middle mouse button (scroll) to throw mines

What OS? I had no problems with Win98, but when I went to XP, I couldn't get the damn buttons working for anything.

The following will work if you have Win XP:

1. Uninstall your mouse software. (unless you use those mouse buttons for all kinds of shotrcuts and keybinds...i didn't mind sacrificing that for in-game functionality)

2. Open up the Client prefs file in Game data\base\prefs folder.

3. Find the line that says something like Input device::mouse enabled = 0 . Change the 0 to a 1.

4. Save and close.

5. Open tribes and make sure the Dinput mouse is selected

6. Bind the key....it will work.

I press M to throw a mine.
