I'm sure there's tons of reasons. How about shortening a demo that you forgot to shut off for one?

yes, thats ONE of the reasons... i have a 680min demo...but i only wanted the 60min to 130min section

I would like a script that records demos as stand alone movies. Look at TiVo's they say its 1 gig per hour of record time.

Only issue would be, would it lag the computer/CPU too much to play the game well. This feature would be nice for when an admin is watching a game or a caster.

I believe someone already made that script, a demo splicer.

Either they made it or said it was impossible one or the other for sure.

im wanting to take make short demos from a BIG demo..

like, the demo is 600 mins long..and i want to take sections 100-120 mins, 400-450mins, etc

It's possible. I saw a script somewhere that splices demos. Can't remember the name though... I'll post if I find it.

there are scripts out where you put in a atime range and it splits that part out
