Update on Current Fiasco

Yesterday evening I received several emails to inform me that three accounts on TWL were connected to the same person.

Upon receiving this information I double checked a few things and started to assess the penalties that such an infraction would receive. I lost my power half-way through so did not get to complete this process.

Fast forward to today and the appeals that have come across.
I have been in touch with AC and done some follow up review and a few things are clear.

1. I misinterpreted the initial emails I recieved from the anti-cheat team for a completed review. It turns out the intent of the email I received was intended as a heads up and nothing more. I was just informed that the review was still ongoing which was unfortunately not clear in initial information I received.

2. The decision to remove ProCore was premature and ultimately incorrect. I will attach the results of the final review to this message that I just received from Jackmeup. I may get my wrists slapped from the powers to be for releasing AC info but I feel it is neccessary to disclose the information.

Lessons learned: Communication between myself and the anti-cheat team need to improve. I had some lingering questions last night and could not reach anyone. I jumped the gun and for that I apologize to all involved.

Long story short the evidence supports the claim that the AA account was given away and nothing more.

Has a pbguid that also matches names with -rbk. Nothing shared on CDC. Airlock looks to have given an account to -rbk aka +emo.kid-;-.

I was trying to give you a heads up before I went forward with this. I had not completed my review. I jump on today and everything has blown up.

Also, through my own investigation this afternoon I can find no instances of Airlock playing in any matches for ProCore even though he was on the roster. This was another thing that was raised on appeal.

Please also note that my main concern today was making sure things were correct. I am not above admitting that I fucked this one up.

Just so you all know I cancelled my plans for the afternoon to go back throught and sort this out. I was going to wait until tonight to go back through everything but decided it could not wait. Though we are all volunteers I have a responsibility to everyone that plays here to take the time to fix what was beginning to look like an error on my part.

We are all human and mistakes happen. I have learned from this and hopefully it will not happen again. ProCore will be reinstated.

Wow, way to man up. Too bad the mistake happened...this should be a lesson for everyone about rushing into things unnecessarily but at least you were willing to admit the screw-up.

Just appreciate that you went back over this... sorry you had to re-do todays plans because of this, the AC department definitely needs to be more clear with you about information next time, I realize it wasn't completely your actions that caused this, but I appreciate your apology..

Lets not point fingers at the AC Team. Ultimately I made the decision to act on the info that I had at the time and it turned out to be the wrong decision. Only one to blame is me in that regard. There are some lessons learned and a few things will be done differently behind the scenes to make sure it is an isolated incident.

The real point is that you publicly owned up to your actions after acting quickly before. This sort of maturity and having the balls to say you were wrong is not something you see a lot in AA anymore. Good for you.

Also maybe something to look at with players that jump from team to team to team for whatever reason in whatever league - maybe there should be tighter restrictions on this. Who knows?

Also, yay for ProCore reinstated?

I want to publicly say that Russd3 acted on information that I gave him and that I was not clear as to the finality of my research. Unfortunately, for Russd3, he was not able to reach me for over a day after I sent him the original email. Sometimes, real-life keeps us busy as well.

He acted in good faith on what he believed to be a completely researched case of smurfing.

Going off topic here. Since the issue of the original topic has been resolved I see no reason to keep this thread alive.
