Future matches

Just wondering since we are fighting for a play-off spot. Shouldnt we be playing teams in our division that has a equal or better record. I heard from the great vine we might be fighting a div 3 team. We have not played against Disturbing the peace, and Pub Gamer. I am just asking because we were scheduled to play Hsc and they no showed. We need rounds also HSK was scheduled to play against G5 they had two no shows prior to mondays match. Shouldnt G5 have been eliminated according to the rules?

I noticed in the Apha Conferense, SCE played DoG, they are in separate divisions. This might be due to the fact teams are dropping constantly because of no shows.

Due to drops and no shows we had a period of time where the divisions had an odd number of teams. This past week both the Alpha conference divisions had 11 teams which required a cross division match. We lost 2 teams due to no shows and now have 10 teams in all four divisions.

Also, no shows have no bearing on your record. The tie break is rounds won divided by total rounds played.

Yeah but with no shows you don't get credit for 12 total rounds, unless it changed? I believe that's what he's driving at and you just said rounds won and rounds played are important, which you don't get a complete match with no shows.

12-0 or 0-0 does not make a difference. in the end the tie breaker will be the rnds won / rnds lost ex. Team 2 = 24/12 = 2 and Team 3 = 25/11 = 2.27 so team 3 will get the playoff spot because 2.27 is greater than 2.0

The noshows suck.. we'd rather play and lose than get a forfeit win but hey it happens..

how many forfeit wins you guys get raider? 3? lol

Ok I get what you mean now, so basically a team with less rounds won but a better percentage in case of a tie breaker will actually get it.

Nah, there's more in that and i know it. Aw well A4H can say whatever they want ice they were in the wrong not us.

ah no bro.. nothing behind it.. just asking.. chances are if the 3 woulda showed you guys woulda probably won.. ya got your stuff together.. just an opinion though..

What we ended up doing was the teams that didn't show up for 2 matches is make a post on the forums and they were removed from the league

Thats my point why was HSK scheduled to play them if they were dead. They had 2 no shows prior to Monday.
Maybe HSK and MoR_ should fight on insurgent to make up for the now show.
I wonder if an admin can weigh in on this?

If both HSK and MoR desire to play each other on IC and forgo their forfeits wins I do not have a problem with that.

G5 was left in so everyone would have a matchup. I was waiting for 1 more team to reach the 2 forfeit mark so I didn't have a team sitting out with a bye. Neither leaving them in 1 week longer or having a team with a bye was ideal but I had to pick 1 at the time.

Thanks Russ. I will contact HSK and see what they want to do. Hopefully they will accept they did say they prefer to play. The ball is on there court.

No problem. Good Luck hopefully we will have a chance to redeem that loss...... on HQ Raid.
