This week’s map is Border, one of the new maps released in 2.6. Because this is a new map, the teams will not have had as much time to practice it as they have the other maps on the list. This means you should expect to see a fair few really close matches, at least one going into overtime. The sniper position will be open on both teams, and a good sniper can turn the course of the match. So you should expect a lot of the last guys being snipers, in this case, defense will almost always win, as they just have to keep an eye on the objective, and not move, while assault will have to get up and run to the package, putting them at a disadvantage. This will be an interesting week.

Derivation - .dX (3-0) VS.Team Underpaid - -up^ (0-2)
Derivation has but a few hours on this map, but those few hours are held by their TWL roster, and the other stats are quite impressive. Underpaid has almost the exact same hours on this map, but I believe they have an advantage because about a third of .dX’s hours come from 1 person, while –up^ has their hours spread out very evenly between their roster. This results in more people knowing the map well, which can be effective in coordinating tactics. However, I know from experience that .dX is a very good group of shooters. If they can manage to shoot as well this week, they may just walk away with their fourth win.
FINAL SCORE 7-5 .dX

Rupture - .rup- (3-0) VS. -[FBI]-******{US} Full Blooded Italians - -[FBI]- (0-2)
This match will be a little more decisive, as –[FBI]- has about 4 times more hours on this map, again, all those hours come from 1 person, while .rup’s hours are much more spread out. But, you can’t just look at hours to determine a winner, .rup has much better stats on this map than –[FBI]-, so that will give them a big edge. This map will not be as close, but then again, anything can happen.
FINAL SCORE 9-3 .rup

-misChief- Gaming - -mC- (3-0) VS. l)eath From Above - ~]DFA[~ (0-2)
The only reason –mC- has been able to go 3-0 is their open TWL policy. And even then it’s very amazing, but looking at some of the names on their roster, you begin to see how they are 3-0. ~]DFA[~ being strictly a Bridge Crossing clan will have severe troubles with this map. This one is quite easy to call.
FINAL SCORE 11-1 –mC-

Madman Industries Army. - [MIA] (3-0) VS. 187}Platoon - 187} (1-0)
[MIA] not only has more 3 times more hours on the map than 187}, but they also have a few great players that not only pulled then into a decent 9th place at the end of the last 4v4 open, but are also the reason for their 3-0 status. 187} is mostly Bridge SE, so they will struggle with this, however, coming from that map teaches you how to snipe, and snipers are very important for Border, and can be useful. This will be (somewhat) close.
FINAL SCORE 8-4 [MIA]

Combat Assault Group - =[CAG]= (3-0) VS. No-Hesitation - [Name]^nH (1-0)
This will be another of those close matches; the teams have very similar stats for this map. So overall, this will come down to better strategies, and better shooting.
FINAL SCORE 7-5 =[CAG]=

Diversified_Gamers - =[DG]= (2-1) VS. Deadly Impulse - -Di.- (2-1)
=[DG]= has almost no hours on this map, while –Di.- has well over 400 hours. The stats are also in –Di.-‘s favor. This one is going to be a total blowout.
FINAL SCORE 12-0 -Di.-

Insane Military Asskickers – IMA (2-1) VS. ^ESF^Elite Strike Force - ^ESF^ (0-1)
IMA will struggle greatly with this map, as most their playtime comes from Pipeline. ^ESF^ however, has played this map a fair bit, and I know from experience that they are fair in their shooting. This one wont be close at all.
FINAL SCORE 10-2 ^ESF^

T-Bagger's Association of Americas Army Players - -)tba(- (2-1) VS. [5thCav] - [5thCav] (1-2)
-)tba(- is almost exclusively a Radio Tower clan, and as such, will have a hard time against [5thCav]’s more diversified game play. -)tba(- has a couple people with good stats on Border, but [5thCav] has a fair few more. Close but no cigar -)tba(-.
FINAL SCORE 7-5 [5thCav]

Criminal Intentions - -Ci- (2-1) VS. Balao Magico - -=]BM[=- (0-3)
This one will be close. Both teams have a fair few amount of hours for Border, as well as good stats. However, -=]BM[=- is a Brazilian clan, they will have to play with large pings, and even playing like that a lot can get you used to it, you are still at a disadvantage against people with similar skill and a better ping. This may be close, but -=]BM[=- will most likely continue their losing streak.
FINAL SCORE 8-4 -Ci-

Airheads On Drugs - {AoD} (2-1) VS. OuterZone - oZ. (0-3)
{AoD} has well over 500 hours on this map, this puts them at an advantage over .oZ. They also have considerably better stats at the map, so this one will be relatively easy to call. However, things can change on the turn of a dime.
FINAL SCORE 9-3 {AoD}

=Killer Of Hell= - =KOH= (1-2) VS. [KYA] Clan - [KYA] (1-1)
This one is going to be extremely close, as both teams have about the same amount of hours, and almost the same stats for this map. Expect this to go into overtime. [KYA] is home team, so they get OT map choice between Mountain Pass SE and Urban Assault. They have no hours on MPSE, so expect them to choose Urban, but, =KOH= is much more experienced at urban than [KYA] so this will go to them in OT
FINAL SCORE 7-6 =KOH=

Nations Highest Loyalists - =NhL= (1-1) VS. 1st Platoon/A/1/3rdID - [3rdID] (0-3)
This is going to be another blowout. =NhL= has almost no hours at all on Border, while [3rdID] has almost 300. The stats are also good, not just for the map, but overall.
FINAL SCORE 12-0 [3rdID]

Ok, well there you go. My first write-up. If you don’t like that I said your team would lose, don’t just flame me. Prove me wrong by winning.

Keep in mind some of us have never played Border before, and the ones who have only 4 or 5 times. (Excluding any BDKer on the roster) ^_____^

Yup. We played ESF this week and they are pretty good shots, but their teamwork needs development. We played IMA in CAL this season, and even though we beat them (River Basin) they had a great CAL season and they are by no means a scrub team. I don't know if IMA will shut ESF out, but I would guess atleast an 8-4 victory, if not better.
