Hello - Just bought game last night

Runs like shizzle on my pc. like huge lag fest.

I immediately patched up, as soon as I got it, was this bad?

I have this for PC.

Intel 1.9ghz
1024 PC2100 RAM
GF4ti4200 Video
SB 512 Sound card

Game is running in 800 x 600 on high detail.
Any ideas?

graphics will do and your memmory is fine but your cpu if it is s celoron your screwed if its a reall p4 then you should be ok. Omni has a 1.8 and it was ok. Also are you on dial up or broadband and if you are on dial up who is your isp? If its aol your screwed since the sofware they use takes up so much bandwidth it turns your 56k into a 33k modem.

For competition play I really suggest that you use Low detail settings. It's still very nice and you might avoid lag attack. Sadly this game is still very heavy for our computers.

DirectX 9 and the new Nvidia drivers does help your computer to run this game too. Check that out

is it normal to have this lag? Its not too bad until i move about 20 tanks, 10 in two different directions.

what resolution is everyone using?

I want larger but dont want to lag out more?

on MP or SP?


MP it may be because your playing with people with crappy comps. The game runs as fast as the player with the worst comp can handle.

single player and just fired it up, left default settings, patched the game, then played whatever 1st mission is for USA.

For this game, regardless of PC specs, for the sake of lag, that everyone run 800x600 on Custom with nearly every option disabled. My PC specs are only a little worse than Cpl's and while it runs fine normally, it's smooth as silk with low gfx.

and its not that bad, lowest GFX on 800x600

i upped the resolution and everything got better,

forced the vid card to do the work i guess.

Drop detail to Low on graphics.
I've noticed a tremendous leap in performance since then. It's not like it's pumping out graphics you'd see in other games but then again I don't consider this game that important graphics wise - just play and speed.
