hmmm... well, maphacks were popular in Warcraft2 and starcraft, but, understand, that, it may be impossible to detect the map hack, because, anyone can say, i know where the enemy is, they are that location, remember, it does show you and the enemy position on the map preview. Command, Expand, build, kill, well, i'm GLA though, so, steal and scud storm!

good rules so far, i'll take it anothe once over and give ya my opinion
Well i've read through the rules a couple of times and the onlyu ? i got is this
Server Selection

"All matches are to be played on WO. The defending team is granted the option of Realm selection. Selection must be posted in match coms 48 hours prior to match date or the defender will lose their selection rights."

hmm maybe i'm just dumb but does the realm selection apply to cocg? please clarify.
no little mistake from my part... Sorry, I will correct that Ignore the realm thing

Yeah I know for maphacks... What can we do, I don't know for now... I only know one thing, if your 2v2 and your teammate is defeated... he will have full view of the map. That means he can just talk on Roger wildo or TS lol

THose a some issue I have to think about
Ahh no problem. I'll keep bugging ya with things like that. =)
/action Slaps you with a dead opfor.
yea, good call Legende, it is impossible to do so, but, there may have to be a risk to take?
Best thing to do for now is:

- save your replays
- If you really think there cheating, finish the game and talk to me or reign
- I will try to think with the staff about cheats and all.

I know there will be some and I hope we can avoid it. Tell you what guys, if you have ideals on how we could detect map hack, well shout it out
well, if looking at hte replay, and if they go after YOU, as i mean both teams go after YOU, like lets say, on a big map, then that would be questionable.
Yeah but it's still delicate because then again... maybe the other team got lucky and we roaming around the map and the first spot they decide to explore was your base.
All matches are to be played on WO.

Not to be dumb, but what's WO?
Westwood online .... well now it'S EA online I guess..
yea, i noticed that the USA can find out where you are, but, i'm talking REALLY early in the gmae, like ranger rushes or something, i mean, yea, it could be luck.

Come to think about it.
There are 2 scenarios(this is regardless of side specially not counting with the us spy drones/spy satelite)
1.You've selected your respawn while still in the game setup at wo. And your opponent knows where you are.
2.Incase #1 didnt happen and because is not 100% fog of war but you know where the respawn points are one could get lucky with a ranger/humwee/tweedie birds rushes if you just know where the respawn points are.

As i see it a maphack for 1v1 is only useful to
A.Know beforehand of your opponents capabilities and defenses.
B.To easier counter any attacks he makes.

AS always just my 2 cents
