why were we taken off the 7v7 RB realism ladder?.....we posted match scores on time....

rogue had a problem with you comming in kearns...not us...

im just not sure what happened, i dont think any of our captains took us off the ladder....so im at a loss

The only problem we have with someone coming into the game is that we were not notified of an admin coming into a game before the match started... The reason he was asked to leave is because we weren't 100% sure that was Kearns. ANYBODY can put a tag on and come into a game. AT NO time should there be anybody in spectator TWL rules state the following : "Anyone sitting in observer for over 5 seconds will be considered observing and subject their team to forfeiture of the match." that right there says nobody in spectator period... If this caused any problems we apoligize. I didn't see anywhere in the rules where an admin could come in and spectate a match... Thanks for the great match SW and Kearns if we caused any problems Sorry but we request that no body be in Spectator during match time.

Then you guys need to clearify that Admins are allowed in the game in the rules. and the teams need to be notified that there will be an admin observing the game before the match starts

i still dont know why we arent on the ladder....we did not ask any admin to leave....that was rogue.....kearns asked one of our guys who was dead....oops wrong match...i suppose i can wait this round out for two minutes, and wathc. Is that ok?...max said yes....rogue wanted kearns to leave and after a couple things were said kearns left....

we lost the match...and reported the loss in a timly manner within an hour...but for some reason we arent on the ladder anymore

No need to shout, I have my hearing aid cranked! LOL.

Can I get a list of who the admins are? Or maybe a link? I really only come here to post and accept challenges, I don't really "live" here nor do I know who's who. We really were caught by suprise, especially with Kearns first comment... "wrong match, can I watch?" I thought he was just a guy on the ladder who joined our game in error. Hell, if we would have been hosting he would have gotten kicked repeatedly, probably even banned if he were persistent enough.

By the way, we did take a screenie just in case.

In defense of SW, there is no reason why they should be removed from the ladder. They played a straight up, hard fought 3 hour battle. My mouse hand is still cramped up! Good battle guys!

Respecting admins is somethign that has been established in this league since before I even joined as a player. It was like that through TC's reign as Sysadmin and has remained through mine. I shouldn't need to tell teams to repect admins.

Look at the Operations drop down menu click staff and select MOH. You have a list of admins there.

I will find out what happened to SW and post to their founder when I do. Also email me the SS of the status screen. spaz@teamwarfare.com

I'm checking into this now. Also, an admin may join your match at anytime. If you wish to confirm his identity come to IRC. Also, you can quickly take a status screen shot and get his IP then confirm it with staff after the fact. If it is determined that the player is from the other team then they will be removed from TeamWarfare.

Any team kicking an admin from their server will result in your team being removed from TeamWarfare. There is any number of reasons why an admin may show up. They could have been requested, they could be checking on teams that could be cheating. Obviously in the latter case if we "announce" we are coming they certainly won't be cheating As always, when in doubt, please check with the staff in IRC. If you request verification and admin will typically tell you to go to IRC. In many cases we are in IRC and the game at the same time

This really has nothing to do with respecting admins. The no spectate rule is there for a good reason, Anyone can fake you identity in both the game and Mirc. We were playing by the rules. Being a TWL admin you should be well aware of the lengths some will go to cheat in a game.

They cannot fake us in mIRC. We have a thing called "auth", we login with a username and password. If they have ops in #twl_moh then they are the real deal.

i do have to say one thing here... though most of us just understand, or don't question some rules about admins coming in. the point is, it does not say (that i skimmed thru and found) that anyone other than the opposing team is to join in the server (cept for an admin to be called in, in the event of a, seemingly, behavioral problem). maybe just tossing that into the general rules part of it saying that an admin/oc (we still use OCs?) can come in at any time.

Generally, an admin is not going to come into a match unless he is requested - we have plenty to do already....

However, we can and may enter a match if we believe we need to at any time.

In this case, though, it was not me entering the match and it is a very serious offense that will be dealt with most harshly. Because there is an investigation ongoing, I am going to lock this thread and request that any and all discussion concerning this matter be conducted through email with me.
