Loss of server control

Early this morning about 3:00am, after doing some stuff on my PC, I went to check on the server through autokick and noticed a few players in the negative so I went in to see what was going on. A clan I never heard of was in there causing trouble and watched them get kicked for team killing but they kept coming back so I banned them. As soon as I did that, one of them came back in and had enough time to type "YOU CAN"T BAN ME" and then I lost control of my server. It just kept reloading the same map and every time it reloaded that one particular clan member was there.Then he typed in "THIS SERVER NOW OWNED BY THE [NIG] CLAN." I could not do anything to stop him, it only stopped when he got tired of doing this. What can I do to stop this from happening to us again and to other Clans. I was so pissed and stunned I never thought to take a screenshot, but got his name and ip [NIG] LT.PHOMP. If any one on TWL can help me with this or explain what had happend or what I can do to prevent this I would really appreciate it.

maybe he guessed the rcon password. I also would have corrected the "can't do anything" problem by stopping the server

If he did correctly guess the rcon, I would suggest changing it to something alphanumeric

Contact a sysadmin. I know that there have been problems of this sort on other TWL Ladders. Also, go post in the General Forum and see if you can get any info on this clan's past exploits.

If you have access to it, I would have killed your server, then taken a look at the config files to see if he changed rconpassword. I would change your rconpassword to maybe something like a110wnsfr3 or something along those lines.

okie dokie guys, i've had this problem b4, and i saw some others w/ the same problem at mohadmin.com it seems that there is a 1 word console command that restarts the map on the server. there is a fix, HOWEVER... i can't seem to get it to work for myself, but SpaZ has successfully applied it to his win machine.... and i'm still waiting on his lazy ass to get the file for me for linux, since for some reason it won't work for me.

We were attacked by this too, but it was ppl from a "TaM" clan.. Getting fix now. Thanks for the info, thought they stole our RCON somehow...

the TAM guys are idiots. They exploit a bug with the vote thing. I'm not too sure how many server's they've done that too. But they have attacked DoH's server. One by the name of Sonic. If you want to talk about this problem, contact Thor@destroyersofhope.com

I'm away on a trip right now so i can't deal with anything since i don't have the game at all. But after reading our forums i'm sure he could help you out just a bit!

I think Fury's post is a bit deceiving. What he means is I have the IP of the guy Sonic who has done this to our server and some others, so I can give it those who want it so you can ban him before you hopefully have to deal with this.

we just had the same freakin problem in our server. Only he was named "Iamreloadingthemap"

Once again we had the dead presdients ( Lincoln - Rooselvelt - Washington ect.) come in our server and started reseting the maps over and over again. What is going on?

There is a fix out for that guys. Check the link out above, I found it there and it has worked for us.

Shit i remeber when i played MOHAA damn clan |PM| and Teamgod and shit always fucked with people like that.
