Finally after waiting a half-hour we got to play. You guys played well, gg's. And if you think our server isn't setup correctly, next time ask for rcon, I have no problem with you having it
GG guys. No problem at all with the server. We learned a few things from that match. We'll be back!
i was listening to our guys on teamspeak, sounded pretty insane. i would have liked to watch it go down, but i think id rather have played it.

seems there was an odd strategy, time to hit the play books
Oh and by the way, the delay was caused over an argument about which team had the choice of what side to play first, and admin was contacted and it seems like the rules were NOT written properly:

Match Details and Ettiquette

All members of all squads are responsible for treating each other with respect during the match. Due to the lack of a language filter in Medal of Honor, please respect those in the server at all times and please don't be careless with your language. The server as well as all members of each squad should be running the latest patch available from http://www.mohaa.ea.com. The match play is objective mode and round-based. Each team will take turns playing Axis and Allies. The defender will play Axis first, then after 30 minutes are up the teams will switch sides and play again. Each team will play as many rounds as possible in 30 minutes. The squad with the highest combined round wins, determined by adding the number of wins as both axis and allies wins the map. In the event of a tie after 60 minutes of play, a tie breaker map will be played. The first team to win 3 out of 5 rounds wins the match. . There are no limits on what weapons or how many of each weapon can be used by a squad. Each weapon is well balanced and can be equally counter-acted by a smarter player/squad.

The rules here clearly says that the defender will play axis first. The admin advise me that this was a typo and will be fixed.

So apparently the defender has the choice of which side they want to play first.

We would like to get this cleared up to. What is the side selection rule for the first map of TOW, OBJ 5v5, & OBJ 7v7?
Ive never read those rules.. and have always played defender chooses.
Hey uG, what is the website address for your server provider?
I did a google search "Canadian gamers" and couldn't find it.

Our clan maybe going to COD and we presently have a linux box which I doubt COD will run on.

I will post his contact in your site later today.

ESPECIALLY YOU, and all other team founders/captains SHOULD read those rules. skimming over and missing something is one thing, but not reading at all, esp for you... tis a shame.

yeah, i finally have a server that gives me a great consistent ping. "oh canada..."
And about the linux box, i beleive linux servers are still in beta (hence some of the problems like the ladder climb, and the scope panning view)
grin when u select the maps it says what side u want! as u can see here!

"You choose Allies for side selection on MoHSH:The Bridge."

um, that's for TDM, when you only play 1 side per map... and for tie breakers. not for OBJ/TOW where you switch sides on the same map.

Grin how bout this... maybe to shut you up. Me and you, 1on1 any weapon? Maybe then after I own your ass you will leave our rants and threads. But knowing you... even after owning your ass you will still feel attached and wanting more. Wait do I know you? No. Do you know me? No. And yet you talk shit about us... it's a game... people in your clan aren't your boyfriend's... so stop getting so attached. They are players in a game. And if they felt the same way about you they wouldn't leave {GP} "Got Penis?" My point is... for you to get a life. You talk a whole lotta shit for someone who can't back it up. And as for us losing to {UNO}... I don't think you realised how many matches they have played together compared to us. {GP} will be owned Friday night, if I am there or not. You will be owned just like those 12 times before.
Why is weasel starting a rant on the forums??
What part of defender plays Axis first doesn't anyone understand? That's how it is on all the ladders.

Side selection has to do with the tiebreaker.

hmm, that's odd. i was under the impression the tiebreaker was the first team to win 3 out of 10 rounds to win the tie breaker and the match.

TC, don't get all worked up, 3 outta 5 and 3 outta 10, it's the same thing, since no one will ever go to more than 5 rounds. sorry, i thought i was more clear on the sarcasm there.

look at 'griM' quivering.
what did he get banned for??
Looks like I was right all along. I'm just wondering why the admin told me that I was wrong even after I pasted the rules to him on Mirc he said it was a typo that the defender always picks the side they want.

Because of that the other team was even asking me to apologise. Maybe now the admin "Spaz" can apologise to me...

BTW, I don't argue unless I know that I am right!

Cut the guys some slack. He was probably working on about 30 other things.

You should know what you are talking about when you are making a ruling as an admin or am I wrong????
i still think this would be all better if they made a cliff notes version of the rules w/ everything nicely and plainly put. i read all the rules once, and appearantly it didn't sink in, as far as who gets what side first. and beinge a n00b clan and always being told that the defender picks sides, you just assume and take it on as a rule, since everyone else goes along with it. once that happens, you forget what the rules said (if you ever remembered) and your brain automatically says "it's in the rules that the defender chooses" which isn't really the case. i'd say sure he was wrong if he gave you that info, but he was wrong, along with 80% or more of the clan leaders/members who thought the same. it's never really been an issue, so not much of a problem. but now that this has been taken to a new level, hopefully everyone's attention will be "gotten" and ppl will now know the REAL ruling on this.

The admin SpaZ will not apologize to you because the admin SpaZ has not talked to you or anyone from your clan since the email incidents...by choice mind you.

I understand. Just hope that your ruling wasn't motivated by that email incident.
No. I honestly don't recall making any ruling on either QUAZAR or Ug. Both teams I defer to the lead admin when possible. When I do pass a ruling I try to stick to my guns and what I can and can not enforce. I do understand that being an admin is not a be all end all position and that we all are subject to a system of checks and balances.

If I did recall making that ruling I would indeed apologize to you. Afterall, to err is human.

It was Sol...
I apologize to you Spaz. Apparently Sol did the ruling.
