depends what kind of blood mod! I mean i've seen 1 where once a player is shot, he bleeds constantly. And the color was a kind of green. Which than gave the position of the player hit. Wherever he went he.. he was being followed!
But it all depends on how people look at it.
I for 1 just stick to stock plain and simple. You adjust to what you play on. STock=fun and no mix up with sv_pure
I think that's the case MajorRager. sv_pure doesn't seem to like any additional .pk3. I've tried a few different blood mods and couldn't get into pure servers. I suppose it is a good thing because with most blood mods, you can see blood drops through floors so you know where people are when you shouldn't.
Well thanks for the info on that TotenHosen. The mod I use doesn't do much but spray blood on a hit and then stays as a stain on the ground for a few minutes. Its too bad that a simple enhancement is ruined because of all the other "cheats" that people seem to resort to.
oh yeah, and to answer to the ORIGINAL post.. lol, i didn't know about the green, always dripping blood mod. but as for the normal (can't see it thru walls or floors) blood mods, i think it adds a bit more realism, b/c i mean, c'mon how often is someone shot and you see NO blood? unless you're shooting dried out corpses, or maniquins, won't happen. so it does add a nice effect to the game so long as the particular blood mod doesn't give any added advantages
Grin Reaper. See TC's addition to the one thread. Crosshairs and custom scopes are illegal on a pure server. It defeats the purpose of pure. SH is to be played stock.
