Illegal Alias In Use

PROBLEM:
I get disconnected with the following error:
Disconnect: Kicked by Console : Illegal Alias In Use.

TO BYPASS:
cl_restrict_server_commands "0"

ABOUT THE CVAR:
cl_restrict_server_commands was added to prevent unwanted commands being run on game clients. Before you disable this cvar, make sure you know what it does and the results. Here are the following numbers that can be used with cl_restrict_server_commands:

* 0 = Don't restrict any server commands
* 1 = Restrict server commands in Valve multiplayer games
* 2 = Restrict server commands in all multiplayer games

The reason you are getting disconnected is because the server command blocker (i.e. ZBlock) won't authenticate you because it can't change your settings.
Thanks. I'm sure a number of people have been frustrated with this problem. (Myself included)
well the error is back again and I hope that the new zBlock fixes that
It's client sided so I don't know how zBlock can fix that... just add the "cl_restrict_server_commands 0" in your personal config (in the console) and you'll be able to connect to servers where you got that error.
Actually zBlock is now broken. Valve made a Source Update on Dec 4, 2006 and removed the revert command that zBlock uses. CAL has suggested that zBlock not be used for now and to use the built in cvars that valve added a week ago.
