Hey I am not sure what to do with this
one of the Players on my Team CD-Key has been Stolen Evidentally
Cant Play as He Keeps trying to Get into a Server and says
CD-Key in Use

He has no problem getting a New Game but if His Guid is Used for Purposes of Cheating and Gets Banned He would be removed from Our Team What does he have to do to Clear it from TWL and get a new Game with New CD-Key and Keep it Clear

If it gets caught cheating, the admins can see the IP associated to the ban. If it doesn't match his, all good.

Yeah its Stolen for Sure

Working on the Problem

What had happened was some Dude sent him a CODGod File Via XFire His Little Brother had gotten and Opened the File and it Copied his CD-key

Now He Cant Play as His Key is In Use all the time

He Emailed Even Balance for Advice from them He wishes to get that GUID Banned so the Fool that is Using It Cant Play any where Probably the Wrong Idea

I was asked and Never have had this Issue well I did but do to ISP Issues Kicking me Offline and have to Login with New IP Address and have to Wait for my Key to Clear off the Master Server before i could rejoin a Server

I am Not for Sure with this
He has no Problem getting a New Game
but Needs to Get the Issue Addressed before it is used for Illegal Purposes and Ends up on the Ban List

As long as his IP address does not match the GUID at the time it is banned then there is no problem. They only ban the player if their IP matches the GUID ban. Just like Rawrb said.

What they said is true. We normally check the IP of the ban against the IP of the player and well we do other things as well but thats classified.

What I would do is have your lil bro get a new game (obvious before putting in that spanking new cd key format/reinstall the system because that trojan tends to stick around after you "uninstalled" it. I would also speak with your bro about downloading and testing hacks as this is one reason we suggest you do NOT do it) and put in his new GUID... send an email to us referring this thread (codacteam@teamwarfare.com). That xfire trick is the oldest in the book and well he just joined the 10,000 other stolen GUIDs.

If you want to have it banned on the MBL or by EB you can contact a PsB Admin or send me the leaked GUID and I can forward it up.

Plus what does the program CODgod file do? and why would such an individual need this file to play?

I dont know if thats true, one of my team members CD Keys got stolen and banned and it was like 1000 miles away from where he lived, and in the logs you can tell it wasn't him because The hacker logged in, then he did, then the hacker did a little bit later, no way our guy could have gone 1000 miles away in the little amount of time between logs.. And they wouldn't unban him. So yeah, it was lame. but i hope you get your guys all settled.

Sorry for the delay in updating this

I am not sure what he was intending to do he has been able to connect without any CD Key in use errors lately so may have just left it alone

i wasn't sure of what to do in this type of situation so i posted and asked

and thanks Rogue for the Heads Up

will speak to him about it again and see what his situation is at this point

I have been away and busy Redoing Our Clans Website it got hacked my gaming has been sidelined for a bit while i was doing that
