  • uh oh

    /me calls the fire department

    Seriously though, thank you

I noticed that the file name is called pbsv.cfg, i already have one of these in my pb directory on our server, if i uploaded this it will over write my current file, this is wat i currently have in my pbsv.cfg file, which is to do with my punksbusted account:

    pb_sv_load pbsvlog.cfg// Added by Auto-MBL
    pb_sv_load pbsvuser.cfg //MD5 Tool Checksums
    pb_sv_banload

Can i just rename the pbsv.cfg file from ur download to twlpbsv.cfg and upload that, then when we have a twl match we load twlpbsv.cfg through rcon then revert back to our pbsv.cfg file after the game?

    Thnx

You have to replace it. I renamed the old one to http://pbsv.cfg.old and then uploaded the new one. This config applies to TWL/CAL/CEVO anyways so you shouldn't have to switch between configs anyways unless you're playing in some other weird league.

nice i knew about the footstep thing but not the recoil...sounds unfair though, thankx for fixing them

This would be the correct course of action if you are running a public server before or after TWL matches. Just ensure that during a TWL match the proper TWL PB config is being ran.
Why don't we just drop the maxfps setting to 100? There is literally no visible difference between 100 and 333, minus the obvious glitches with the engine.

An FPS of 125 allows for certain jumps that have been approved by the Competition Staff. We are trying to accommodate the majority of the community that will want to run with at least 125 FPS.

    Aye.

It's a great fix for the game. Definitely glad they did it.

Then why not cap the FPS to 125? Because 250 also allows for certain jumps and gives an unfair advantage to people with much better video cards than people with lower end video cards. I have a med/high end video card, yet I still cap my FPS at 125.

With 333 fps When I walk I make no sound. And crazy, 250 fps does not allow jumps that cant me made by someone with 120 or so. The glitch jumps are made at either 125 or 333. Not anything in between
makes you wonder why the recoil exploit wasn't fixed at the start?

Can't fix what you don't know. As far we we can tell, most people don't have a clue about it, and it requires a pretty interesting combo to achieve the no recoil. It isn't just grab a scope and go. For obvious reasons, I'm not going to detail, as we don't need everybody off doing it in pubs. Nobody is out to get you ....

I wouldn't really describe it as no-recoil, since a sniper rifle doesn't really have 'recoil'. The glitch simply stabilized the scope while moving
Nevermind, I didn't read it all. Posted about max fps. Sorry

having probs getting 1.9 enabled, i put it in the servers pb folder and typed enable but it looks like an older version is enabled , any suggestions?
All I did was replace the old pbsv.cfg with the new one, go into rcon in game, type /rcon pb_sv_restart

    Then it worked right away.
If all else fails and it is in there just type /rcon exec pbsv and it should exec it and you'll see the message come up
Yeah I need help installing new PAM
Where exactly do I put the file and what commands do I do after, step by step process please

no, the pb cfg shouldn't be in /main - so that wouldn't work.

    Try:
    /rcon pb_sv_load pbsv.cfg
    /rcon pb_sv_restart

Um, Isn't that kind of admitting its a glitch? I mean the fact that these moves are only possible at a certain fps? What that says if you have built a level playing field unless the other guy has more money to spend.

I think we all know 125 fps does more to the engine than allowing you to jump to spots in the map you weren't meant to get to.
Eugh, play Q3, read up on the engine and the history involved with every game that bases itself upon it.
New pb cfg some year would be good playing with a 8 month old pb cfg guys, time for an update id say wouldnt you?
