Thursday night Pick up Game

Okay was reading another thread and it brought up a good idea..To run a pick up game amongst some of the more avid players of RVS...We will be meeting up in our IRC room on gamesnet #--{A}--..Well pick up teams like oldschool captain style..We will have a teamspeak channel available to the ones who play that way we can play like a team..The server will be passworded and the password will be given in IRC..The password for teamspeak will also be there...

If anyones interested in this and wants to come up with various ways of doing things id be more then willing to chat up some various rules and what not..My idea is to run the server mixed map style..That way we get a little taste of everything..Only thing that would be hard is if this idea hits, we can only accomadate 16 players at a time..So maybe we can get another clan to dedicate a server that night for pick up game 2 for those left out..I dont really know, just tossing round ideas..Would be a good way to meet some new folks and players.. Any input, or ideas guys just toss em around..

I know when i played T2 that it was always fun to get into a good pick up game..I miss them days sometimes..Just trying to rehash em..

can't speak for the rest of SMAK, but i'd be interested in trying this out...however, is there a way to admin TS?

let's say, some gay...i mean, guy...is playing on one side, dies and goes over to the other TS channel and gives them info? not really worried if another person is a poophead, because TS has mute...

well, we DO have a bunch of TS server admins.
most likely one of us would be on.

Well the way i was thinking was once we have enough guys in there well pick two captains..Ill draw the names of the guys in there from a hat..LOL..Oldschool style..Once ther picked they will pick there 7 guys and well go from there..Also the point about guys switching sides of teamspeak, we will have someone moderate it to make sure theres now side switching in teamspeak..ANd honestly if you really feel the need to do something like that in a pickup game, well your pretty sad..So well see what kinda turn out we get for this and go from there..Look forward to this game if it happens..WOuld be good fun for all..Frag ON..

Edit for time..We will try to meet around 8pm est time and carry on through the night..Well play best of 3maps, then re group up for another game for the folks that get there later..Remember any ideas are appreciated..

Thats a sweet idea, I am totally for it, but you gotta follow through with it. =]

I would consider myself an avid player, for I am ranked like 11th in "Time Played". My skillz don't really show it though :-)

Its alot easier with an IRC bot. If someone regesters a a chan on gamesnet for pugs ill try and get 1 for us.

Well i seen many a views but no one showed last night..BOOO...ONly ones to show were Arcane and WIggles and a few of my guys...So NEXT THURSDAY at 8PM est time till whenever we will try it again..Meet in IRC on gamesnet #--{A}-- And pre-season football is like watching grass grow..You see the real team for about 5mins then there bench warmers for the rest..Id personally rather watch bowling the preseason football..And dont get me wrong, i love football, its just pre-season is just the ghay..
