-i just bought the game today
-i installed it
-downloaded the 1.0-1.2patch
-installed that
-installed the v2.0 mappack

ok, and now i try to play multiplayer, and every single server that i try to connect to says its not responding, i dont know what the deal is... any help is appreciated

If you don't make a login name, it should come up with a popup message. So I'm guessin that shouldn't be there problem.

Click on internet tab at top of screen instead of LAN. LAN tab is on top by default

What specs do you think this game would run smoothly on...

I am about to buy a jacked up Alienware Area 51m, I believe that should run smoothly, or at least I hope? (something like 3.06ghz, 512ram, huge vid card etc etc).

these are my shitty specs: AMD Athlon Thunderbird 900 mhz, 384 MB SDRAM, GF4 TI 4200 (that is being bottlenecked I think)...I run the game very well except for low FPS every now and then

the power of the card is being limited by something on your computer, usually the mobo...and I think that's the case with mine

Get this...

I got a P4 2.0, 1 gig DDR ram, and a lousy GeForce4 420 MX...

And I'd be willing to bet you get better framerates than me. At 640X480, I get 60 max. At 800X600, I get a lousy 30 standing still. In firefights? MAYBE 15-20.

Now tell me something doesn't seem right there with those specs?

(And yes, I've done the .ini tweaks too. Doesn't seem to help. I think my video card is crap)

yep, I get the same as you....sometimes I'll get the occassional 50-60 on 800x600 then in those same situations but for firefights it'll be down at around 30

ehhh... this sucks... i bought the game, signed up at ubi.com, go in game and hit the internet tab, try to login using the name and pass i made at ubi.com and it says could not login... wtf?

make sure you update all the patch correctly, and just keep trying

that shit says that to me sometimes i just keep trying and it lets me in, who knows...
