Season 16 Regular Information

Season 16 is here!

Information for the upcoming TWL Season 16 will be continuously added and updated. Don't forget to check back!

Regarding Main
Due to the number of teams registered and the amount of forfeit matches last season, We have decided to close Main this season to give a chance for a healthier competition. There will also only be 1 conference and division.

Rule changes

1- Only the losing team may report the loss within 1 hour of match completion.After the 1 hour time limit has expired, teams lose the right to dispute.

2- A smaller roster limit of 10 people(5 starters, 5 backups) should be in place

3- For playoffs, with the finals still remaining a best of three maps, the format will be changed to the following:

Defending team: Choice of 1 map,
Attacking team: Choice of 1 map,
Third map shall be decided by TWL staff

4- The default day will remain the same but the default time is being move to 9PM EST which will allow teams in all time zones to compete. Weeks with 2 matches scheduled will see Wednesday 9:00PM EST as the second default day.

12/6 - Week 8 - de_train (2 matches)

IMPORTANT DATES

October 3rd, 2010 12:00PM EST - Season 16 registration opens.

November 5th, 2010 11:59PM EST - Team registration is closed.

November 12th, 2010 11:59PM EST - Rosters are locked. Teams with less than five will be removed from the league.

December 10th, 2010 11:59PM EST - Final regular season match, end of the regular season.

December 10th, 2010 11:59PM EST - Deadline for make-up matches need to be played and reported.

December 13th, 2010 - Playoffs begin!

Dumbest pre-season match ever. Why not play a map that we play sometime during the season? de_villa makes pre-season pointless. We'll take a FFL pre-season(like it matters).
Also, No main and 1 conference BLOWS. The time sucks aswell, we were hoping this season the default time would get changed since we have so many people from the westcoast, and playing at 6 is pretty freaking annoying.

The teams are always free to schedule the match at a more convenient time for them. The default day is in case the teams can't reach an agreement.

I completely agree with Superman. And while that may be we can reschedule, the other team does NOT HAVE TO, default time = binding. This was done too early and some crummy maps. We needed more time to get our teams together.

I do not understand why the change in the ROSTER LIMIT 10 players? Seriously? And why from 9:30 to 9? Your killing us!

At least the Playoffs were changed for the bettern

It's fishy/worrisome as well that nearly 2/3's of these teams that are participating have just joined for the S16, and have no played on any ladders before, not sure if I like a bunch of random teams *Possibly hackers is my point* joining up so suddenly. We should have some kind of 2-3 month rule you have to play on TWL in just one ladder at least before you can join the Seasonal League.

What teams will make it to Playoff's this season? Top 16? 18? Since we have a WAY bigger conference since we all got lumped together, I hope it's up'd from the standard top 8.

I would like to remind people that if we do add a round of 16 to the playoffs, The dates chosen will be mandatory. There will be no scheduling around them.

just noticed no nuke? Hope it's in playoffs because nuke is definitely better than contra and russka.

Awesome thank you Night Stalker!!

Right now we are having issues with the Christmas amnesty coming up. I am trying my best to get the playoffs finished before amnesty begins.
