Congratulations to our S13 Champions!
First, we'd like to thank everyone for another successful season and an even more successful playoff season. The playoffs for both Main and Open have just wrapped up and the winners are:
Main Champions: BEARFOURCEONE
BF1, formerly known as chowN-r base, won the TWL Main finals against Xplicit Gaming on de_train with a score of 16-9. BF1 are also former TWL-O Champs as they won the S12 Open conference last season. With new teams being invited to Main next season, will they be able to do it again?
Open Champions: BANANASPLIT
BANANASPLIT, has been a TWL regular for a while now and we're glad to announce that they have won the TWL-O inter-conference finals. They won the Eastern conference which pit them against the Central winners, [CARE] Representing the D. The finals was slated for a BO3 (best-of-three) and the map line-up was as follows:
16-3 de_inferno
16-5 de_train
0-0 de_season (not played)
This was the first season we've had a BO3 structure for the inter-conference final and from the looks of things, I think we'll be sticking to it for the future.
Here we are then, another exciting League season reaches it's conclusion. The CS:S League staff would like to thank all the teams that participated this season, we hope that you had a great experience here, as we look forward to seeing many of you return to the competition next season.
A few words regarding Main invites - Invitations to join Main will be sent to all Open teams who made it to playoffs. We also often invite teams that are performing at the top of their game in our CS:S Ladders.
More information on Season 14 will be released in the coming weeks. Don't forget, registration opens on December 16th, 2009!
